2 LED (LIGHT EMITTING DIODE) WHAT IS AN LED? An LED is a special diode that emits light when connected to a circuit board. Inside the diode is a semi-conductor chip with positive and negative electrons separated by a junction. When sufficient voltage is supplied, the electrons cross the junction and join together to create light.
