2 Work Scope School of Aerospace Engineering Establish an integrated theoretical and numerical framework to substantially improve understanding of plasma-assisted ignition and combustion in complex flow environments typical of flight engines. -- steady and transient operating conditions -- entire flowpath -- plasma-activated flow control Focus on -- laminar flow experiments (Task 1) -- ignition and flameholding experiments for nonequilibrium plasma flows (Tasks 12 and 13) 2
