Box San Francisco, CA Fax: December 1, 2017 Advice 5192-E (Pacific Gas and Electric Company ID U 39 E) Public Utilities Commission of the State of California Subject: Self-Generation Incentive Program Funded Energy Storage Installations Purpose Pursuant to Ordering Paragraph (OP) 5 of California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC or Commission) Decision (D.) , Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) respectfully submits this advice letter to provide the breakout of Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP) funded energy storage installations by bundled, Community Choice Aggregators (CCA), and Direct Access (DA) customers, for the period of June 1, 2017 through November 27, Background On October 21, 2013, the CPUC issued D establishing the Energy Storage Procurement Program, setting procurement targets for Energy Service Providers (s) in California, and finding that SGIP-funded energy storage installations would be eligible to count towards those procurement targets. Subsequent Commission D clarified that, in the event an SGIP-funded storage project was deployed by an unbundled customer, the megawatt (MW) capacity should be split evenly between the unbundled customer s IOU and the CCA/ for purposes of meeting the storage targets. On September 21, 2016, the CPUC issued D finding that the split of SGIP funded projects would apply prospectively from January 28, 2016, the date D was approved by the Commission. Further, OP 5 required the Investor Owned Utilities (IOUs) to file a Tier 1 Advice Letter twice a year, on June 1 and December 1, containing the breakout of SGIP-funded energy storage installations. Ordering Paragraph 6 required the IOUs to consult with Energy Division staff to develop the content and format for reporting the allocation of credits for SGIP-funded projects to ensure consistent reporting. Since the issuance of D , PG&E, Southern California Edison, and San Diego

3 Advice 5192-E December 1, 2017 Gas and Electric have consulted with Energy Division staff to develop the content and format for reporting the breakout of SGIP-funded storage projects, reflected in the table attached. The filing would not increase any current rate or charge, cause the withdrawal of service, or conflict with any rate schedule or rule.
