5 Introduction 1 Introduction Welcome to the US Technical Manual, the Victory Decision: World War II supplement covering over 75 vehicles and Guns for your US forces from all theatres and periods of World War II! This book is the second in a series of dedicated briefings on Nation specific Guns and Vehicles. All our US infantry army lists reference the Vehicles and Guns of this book. By using this method of releasing our books we can bring out many different army lists without repeating the same vehicles over and over again. How to use this book This book is organized based on the combat role, rather than the service period of the various Vehicles and Guns used by the United States in World War II. Each unit entry also contains a notation on the year a unit came into use. Victory Decision: World War II divides the conflict into three periods of time and defines these periods as follows. Early War: From the outbreak of the war to the end of Mid War: 1942 to the end of Late War: 1944 to the end of World War II. These deliberate separations also help to balance the playability of army lists. It is strongly encouraged to only play within the same period. All these separations are only meant as guidelines, nobody is going to stop you to field a T28 Superheavy tank vs. an early war German army (as long as your gaming buddies agree to this) it is your game after all. May your dice always roll high, Agis Neugebauer, August
6 Anti-Aircraft Guns 2 Anti-Aircraft Guns Victory Decision: World War II uses a very abstract mechanic to represent air attacks. The following AA Guns characterize these Guns in their anti-infantry role or as tank hunters. US Regimental Support Browning.50 Cal AAMG Quad Mount points In Service: 1939 Element: Heavy Support The Quadmount was able to bring an incredible amount of firepower to bear upon enemy aircraft by using four Browning machine guns in a single mount. Weapon Team: Commander (unit leader) with M1-Carbine, 1 Gunner with Browning.50 Cal AAMG Quad Mount (Fire Arc/F), 1 Loader with M1-Carbine Type Critical Hit Save Ld Ability Commander, Gunner, Loader Dedicated, HP/3, Nerves of Steel, Weapon Team Cumbersome: An Action must be performed to limber or unlimber the Browning.50 Cal quad mount AAMG before it can be moved. The Move characteristic of the unit depends on the number of HPs still remaining. 3-2 HPs = 2 maximum move, 1 HP = No movement possible. Options: The Commander and / or Assistant may swap their M1-Carbine for a SMG or M1-Garand for +0 points. Weapon U/T Range Damage Features Browning.50 Cal AAMG Quad Mount M1-Carbine xD xD6 Re-Roll, Save/-1, Suppression M1-Garand 3 24 D6 Suppression SMG xD6 - US Regimental Support 37mm light AA Gun - 95 points In Service: 1939 Element: Heavy Support The 37mm light AA Gun M1 was an anti-aircraft auto cannon that was used as a towed variant, and a halftrack mounted variant. The halftrack mount was also fitted with two machine guns. Weapon Team: Commander (unit leader) with M1-Carbine, 1 Gunner with 37mm light AA Gun (Fire Arc/F), 1 Loader with M1-Carbine Type Critical Hit Save Ld Ability Commander, Gunner, Loader Dedicated, HP/3, Nerves of Steel, Weapon Team Cumbersome: An Action must be performed to limber or unlimber the 37mm light AA Gun before it can be moved.
