2 About the car Juan Dorico Specialist for Citroën DS and ID Sale Citroën ID 19 b 7/1967 The face of a beauty: a Citroën ID 19 b in its typical late 60s getup outfit and in optimal original condition A real Citroën ID b for connoisseurs This 1967 ID 19 b is very rare and difficult to find in original condition. We can t detect any later added, non original part except for the modern seat belts as a little concession to security. There is no DS- or Pallas-accessory as you often find in these vehicules. A real ID for real historic car lovers who favour the pure touch of former car experience. For example: The roof is not painted!, because painted roofs were only available for the Citroen DS models. In 1967 the roof of an ID was still made of fibreglass always with its typical beige color and a little relief-like surface. This is exactly the condition of our ID just as it was when the car left the factory. In a typical oufit for the late 60s getup The colour is Gris Kandahar (Kandahar grey) and also original: The badgenumber (AC 133) ematchs this colour. Gris Kandahar Kandahar in Afghanistan was very popular in reminiscent of the colour of the mountains and the landscape around the city of Kandahar in Af- 2

3 ghanistan. It is a very sophisticated colour. On Nuncier.fr one of the best websites about the Citroën D-models you can read: Gris Kandahar is like beer or silver, the more you see it more you like it. The seats and upholstery are also original and in very good condition. The red Jersey Rouge Cornaline was as popular as the Gris Kandahar. Both tones match each other perfectly. The official Citroën ID19-brochure from 1966 about the new engine showed exactly this colour-combination. Citroën s ID-brochure 1966 The best of new and old in one car The ID 19 b was introduced in September 1966, but this car is one of the rarest and most sought after examples already fitted with the stronger DV-engine from the DS 19 (84 PS) and the new LHM hydraulic system (both since September 1966), but still with the old dashboard ( ) and the old front (until September 1967). This very special combination was only available between September 1966 and August 1967, a period which forms part of the golden years of the D-model evolution. the real classic car feeling. You will notice the missing power-steering only when the car stands still. And don t forget: This steering could never leak! Origins of the car We found this ID in France close to Grenoble. The former owner had An extra: auxiliary front lights given it to a Citroën service for sale. Unfortunately he did not keep documents, invoices or anything else, but the ID s condition is the best proof of perfect maintenance during the last 47 years. When we bought the ID its underbody and back section surfaces were good but not up to our quality standards. Thus we completely rebuilt the back section (boot, gutters, bumper supports etc.), lower door sections and some points of the underbody in order to be able to offer a car in perfect and absolutely rust free condition for a fair price. But don t just believe us, check it out for yourself by studying the pictures and technical description on the following pages. Some little Extras This ID 19 is equipped with some extras like the auxiliary front lights which were an option for the ID. Also the frontarmrest on both sides (especially the left) you had to order as an extra. Maybe you will miss the power steering. As a sales specialist in Citroën classic car models we daily look for DS-, ID- and D-Super-models in Spain and Southern France.
