3 Introduction Distinguishing Comfort Features Premier Styles Include: Tailor-Made Decking The New Features Uncovered The seating platform is covered using a 70/30 polyester/cotton blend decking material, weighing 2.97 oz./sq. yd., which is customized with the La-Z-Boy logo. Tailor-Made Decking With the Puffed Print La-Z-Boy Logo Our logo is applied as a puffed, or raised print, to give it a non-skid characteristic. This non-skid feature helps to keep the seat cushions from sliding forward. Seat Cushions Our specially developed, patent pending, seat cushion assembly brings multiple foam types, with different properties, together into one assembly, providing for optimal support and comfort over the entire seating surface. We begin with a 36 lb. 2.5 density High Resiliency (HR) foam core in the posterior region of the seat, for greater support during short and long-term sitting. In the front section, we use a 27 lb. 1.8 density conventional foam core for a gentle, pressure relieving sit as felt in the lower thigh region eliminating the strike-through often felt behind the knees with firm foam. Seat Cushion Assembly Next, a top and bottom layer of 23 lb. 1.8 density high comfort polyurethane foam is applied to the inner cores. These layers balance the foundation and complement the outer layers. For the exceptionally soft and supple initial sit, we add a top and bottom layer of 12 lb. conventional foam. The cushion assembly is finished with a lofty ¾ oz. batting wrap to protect the foam from direct contact with the upholstery cover, which also complements the initial soft feeling. 4 Introduction Distinguishing Comfort Option Plus Seat Cushions: The New Optional Seat Cushion Uncovered A New Option (Z2) for La-Z-Boy Premier Stationary Products Our specially developed, patent pending, seat cushion assembly is available covered with a plush feather blend jacket for the ultimate in seating comfort. The blend consists of 50% feathers and 50% fiber for ideal performance and durability. The feather mixture itself includes 45% white goose feathers and 5% white goose down white goose down is finer and fluffier than darkertoned goose down. We remove the top and bottom layer of the 23 lb. 1.8 density polyurethane foam from the assembly to accommodate the optional feather blend jacket. For the final touch, the foam assembly is inserted in the ultra-soft, 100% cotton down-proof jacket for slow and subtle air release offering the best in luxurious and plush seating comfort. The down-proof jacket features sewn channels to eliminate shifting of the feather blend filling and deliver seating consistency. The cover includes a zipper for easy removal and hand fluffing if desired.
