1 SI BLUEPRINT MOONEY MITE AIRCRAFT DRAWINGS NASM Archives Accession No HOW TO ORDER COPIES OF DRAWINGS NASM s collection of Mooney M-18 Mite drawings is available to restorers, researchers, model builders, and the general public. The collection consists of 600+ individual original engineering drawings for the Mooney M-18 series. You may use this form to obtain a price quote for individual drawings (by drawing number). HOW TO ORDER COPIES OF MOONEY DRAWINGS: Due to the nature of the Mooney M-18 Drawings and Reports Collection, there are several steps you must follow to obtain specific Mooney drawings. You must: 1. Review the drawing list below carefully. Because of the large number of orders we receive and the limited number of staff available to fill these orders, you may request a maximum of twenty-five (25) drawings per order, with a limit of one order in process per individual or organization. We recommend that you decide your priorities for ordering individual drawings based on the status of your own restoration or reconstruction project. (What part of the aircraft are you most interested in? Where would you like to start? Nose? Tail? Landing gear?) The NASM Archives is not able to make these decisions for you. 2. When you have decided which drawings you would like to order, please complete the Price Quote Request form on the other side of this page. Be sure to give us your name and mailing address. Please make your request by drawing number and title, listing selected drawings in drawing number order from lowest to highest. Please mail your completed request for no more than 25 drawings to the address below. 3. After the NASM Archives has reviewed your request, you will receive a customized price quote which will enable you to order copies of the drawings on your list. Why do you need to receive a price quote before you send money? Mooney drawings come in a wide variety of sizes; the cost of each copy drawing is calculated at the rate of $1 per square foot. 4. Based on the customized price quote, decide which Mooney drawings you would finally like to order and follow the instructions on the price quote form to obtain duplicates. 5. Your duplicate Mooney drawings will be sent via UPS or U.S. mail. VERY IMPORTANT!!! Do not send payment until you receive a cost estimate from us. You will be provided with a price quote for copies of the drawings which you have requested. We ask that you return a copy of the price quote with your selections noted as your final order. 4 PROPER CITATION OF AIR AND SPACE CRAFT TYPES FROM NASM ARCHIVES SOURCES When completing a Document Use and Indemnification Agreement, it is important to properly cite the model designation for any drawings or other documents which you will be receiving from the NASM Archives. For materials from many of our collections, the proper citation will simply be a manufacturer and model or models. For drawings from the Waco Aircraft Company Drawings Collection for example, indicate the specific model or models for which you are requesting drawings: Waco PDC, Waco YPF-7, Waco 9. Several of our large collections are not as straightforward, however. In these collections, one unit of material (such as one drawing sheet or one reel of microfilm) often pertains to a number of different aircraft models. Although you might be interested in only ONE model appearing in the material, for legal purposes you must cite ALL models included in the material which you would like to receive. DO NOT LIST THE ITEM NUMBERS of the material you are ordering. Two examples are given below. In the record shown above, from the Engineering Drawings on Microfilm Collection, the proper citation of the manufacturer and models would be: Ryan L-10, YO-51, XPT-16, YPT-16, PT-16A, PT-20, PT-20A, PT-20B, PT-21, PT-22, PT-22A, PT-22C, YPT-25.
