2 Directions to Garching Research Center ('Garching-Forschungszentrum') Catalysis Research Center of Technische Universität München is situated at Garching Research Center, also called TUM Campus Garching or 'Garching-Forschungszentrum' in German language. Travelling by car / taxi You can reach Garching Research Center from the north via motorway A9, Nuremberg-Munich ('München- Nürnberg'). Exit 'Garching-Nord' and follow directions to 'Garching-Forschungszentrum'. From Munich Airport (~ 30 minutes) take motorway A92 towards Munich ( 'München'). Exit at 'Freising-Süd' and follow B11 for about 8 km to 'München' and Garching via 'Dietersheim'. After approximately 2 km turn left and follow the directions to 'Forschungszentrum'. A taxi ride from the city center will take about minutes and will cost around 30 to 35. From the airport the taxi fares to Garching Research Center are between 30 and 40. From Public Transport Station Ismaning it will take approximately 10 minutes and cost

4 Travelling by public transport (DB/MVG) From the city center take subway ( U-Bahn ) line U6 direction Garching-Forschungszentrum and discan take embark at the final destination. From Munich main station ( Hauptbahnhof ), proceed to the suburban train ( S-Bahn ). You every S-Bahn into direction Ostbahnhof. Disembark at the second stop Marienplatz and change to subway line U6 direction Garching-Forschungszentrum. Overall travel time will be minutes. Before you enter the station buy a Single Day-Ticket (XXL) ( Sinblue stamp- gle-tageskarte München XXL) for 7.50 at the ticket machines. Please validate your ticket on a ing machine before you enter the platform. From Munich Airport you can take the suburban train ( S-Bahn ) line S8. Disembark at the station 'Ismaning' and change for bus 230, which runs frequently to 'Garching-Forschungszentrum' and get out of the bus at the final destination. Alternatively, take suburban train line S1 and disembark at the station 'Neufahrn'. Change here for bus 690 to 'Garching-Forschungszentrum'. Please note that bus 690 only runs from Monday to Friday, not on weekends. Overall travel time will be around 40 minutes. Before you enter the station buy a Single Day-Ticket (outer zones) ( Single-Tageskarte Außenraum ) for 5.60 at the ticket machines. 6 Directions at Garching Research Center CRC Administration is situated at the Department Of Chemistry building (Address: Lichtenbergstrasse 4, Garching). Entering the Campus by car parking sites close to the Catalysis Research Center can be found northwest of the Department of Chemistry accessible from the street Am Coulombwall. If you leave the subway station in the direction of the head of the train (exit Lichtenbergstrasse ) the Department is about 3-5 minutes walking distance. CRC Office is located at the yellow track, top 6th floor, eastern wing, Room Number CH If you enter the chemistry building at the main entrance walk through the entrance hall. At the first possibility turn right and follow the hall to the end until you pass the yellow door. Then turn slightly left and take the yellow elevator on the right hand side up to level 6. In the corridor to the right you will find the CRC Office (CH63105). If you enter the chemistry building at the side entrance on the right hand side of the building please turn slightly right after you passed the first yellow door. Take the yellow elevator on the left hand side up to level 6.
