The new Cascadia has all of this and more, and for this reason can help your customers attract and retain drivers. Below are the features, advantages and benefits that are showcased on this state-of-the-art vehicle. Updated Exterior Appearance There s no question that drivers enjoy driving a truck that looks good on the outside. The new Cascadia has a dramatically updated exterior appearance. Here s why: Substantially quieter cab interior Standard DT12 Automated Manual Transmission No clutch input required Right Hand Revolution Creep mode for ease of backing Hill Hold feature Engine brake incorporated into transmission control A Quiet Truck The classic Cascadia is one of the quietest trucks on the road; the new Cascadia is even quieter, thanks to new noise abatement technology. To further improve the truck s interior sound level, Freightliner engineers developed an optional insulation package using 3M Thinsulate technology. Additionally, a new engine mount design provides better vibration isolation and the engine tunnel cover is now constructed using Quiet Steel technology. Finally, a third door seal is included, which adds an additional level of noise reduction. New Front Suspension A new front suspension features longer mono-leaf springs and bushings that are tuned to provide a smoother ride and improved roll stiffness, meaning less roll and sway. The steering gear is now located further forward, which leads to decreased bump steer and helps improve steering precision and reduce course corrections. In testing over a straight mile stretch of road, the new Cascadia required only 68 steering corrections versus 112 in the Classic Cascadia. All of this increases the smoothness of the ride and reduces driver fatigue.

4 Wraparound Dashboard The new Cascadia continues the Freightliner tradition of offering the industry s most ergonomic dash design. All switches and controls are easy to reach, allowing drivers to work without leaning or stretching. In the instrument cluster, digital smart gauges and information displays keep drivers informed as they drive. And the new location for truck telematics systems provides for easier viewing and use. Three cup holders, a document pocket, a dedicated mobile device slot and increased overhead storage are now standard. Tilt and Telescoping Steering Wheel The tilt and telescoping steering wheel release has been moved from the Classic Cascadia s footcontrolled position to a steering column-mounted design in the new Cascadia, making it easier to adjust. This accommodates the needs of drivers of all sizes. Steering Wheel Controls From the steering wheel controls, drivers can cycle through information and change options within the instrument cluster menus that are displayed on a 5-inch LCD screen in the dash, making it easy for them to get important information about the vehicle s performance quickly and safely. Without removing their hands from the steering wheel, drivers can adjust cruise control, navigate through the menus, answer and hang up phone calls, adjust the radio s volume and perform other time-saving actions. Since drivers can make these changes straight from the steering wheel, they can remain focused on the road. Instrument Cluster The new Cascadia s updated instrument cluster provides more information on demand including automated transmission gear selection, text readout of basic faults, digital readout of common gauges like axle temperature and oil pressure, Detroit Assurance suite of safety systems information and seat belt warning indicator. Interior Trim Levels The standard Professional interior trim level includes black accents on vents and switches and our unique Technical Trim on dash and door surfaces. The Elite interior trim level provides a bright finish to the steering wheel controls, dash vents and switches and Oregon Ash wood grain dash and door accents. Interior color choices include either a Slate Gray and Black or a Saddle Tan and Black option. Seating The new Cascadia seats feature a more modern range of materials and colors with a choice of cloth, vinyl and mordura. We continue to offer a number of different lumbar adjustment options. The Elite level seat includes both heat and ventilation controls.

The sleeper area has been redesigned to include larger passenger and driver side storage cabinets and a wardrobe cabinet with four inches of additional hanging length. There are more cabinets, as well as larger spaces that can accommodate standard appliances. For entertainment, a television swivel bracket can hold up to a 26 flat panel TV for movie-theater-like viewing. A new cargo shelf option allows drivers to store containers or duffle bags easily. Driver s Lounge The new Cascadia offers a traditional double-bunk arrangement option with a new, easily released telescoping ladder rated at 400 lbs. The Driver s Lounge features a larger microwave cabinet that will accommodate standard appliances and a new, larger refrigerator with matching cabinetry or a customersupplied refrigerator option. The 72 raised roof Driver s Lounge also comes standard with LED ambient lighting and dimmer switch so drivers can personalize their light levels.

6 New Driver s Loft A game-changer in sleeper design and options, the new Driver s Loft features a two-seat dinette table/work table with opposing seating and seat belts. These can be folded down flat quickly to allow for a murphy-style bed to swing down in less than 30 seconds. Power Options Now more than ever there is a need for additional power in the sleeper area to run the driver s electronic needs, including TVs, microwaves, refrigerators, computers, mobile devices, medical devices like a CPAP machine and more. The new Cascadia offers a variety of powerful inverter and inverter pre-wire options that give power to AC items. ParkSmart HVAC System The new Cascadia s ParkSmart HVAC system is optimized for overnight stays in warm or cool climates. The ParkSmart system offers up to 10 hours of cooling or 34 hours of heating. With that level of control, the new Cascadia is able to efficiently maintain the driver s desired cab temperature. When ParkSmart is combined with the Detroit Optimized Idle System, they are configured to provide bunk comfort at all times while maintaining battery charge and engine temperature.
