11 The Technical Evaluation Helps you determine whether the option will perform as expected If your option involves modification, it may help to talk to personnel at other bases who are doing the same things Some vendors will install equipment so you can try it to see if it meets your needs Unit 4 - Section 1 - Slide No. 9

12 Evaluation Questions 1. Is the system safe for workers? 2. Is space available to implement the option? 3. Will process quality be maintained? 4. Are existing utilities adequate? 5. 13 The Occupational Health Evaluation BE will: Help you evaluate the hazards associated with your input materials Determine the protective measures required to work safely with the material Perform equipment evaluations and determine the necessary protective measures required TO changes and funding requirements are discussed in the following sections Unit 4 - Section 1 - Slide No. 11
