2 GENERAL RULES 1. Each pulling vehicle is allowed two hooks per pull. 2. Pull order to be determined by random draw. 3. Scale will be on the grounds. All tractors must weigh in. Driver must weigh in with tractor in each class. 4. Minors must have written permission by a parent or guardian and completed a tractor safety course in order to pull. 5. Tractors must have hoods, grills, starters, batteries, and a seat. 6. Weights shall not extend more than 13 (thirteen) feet from the center of the rear axle to the furthest most point on the front of the tractor. Modifieds may be up to 14 (fourteen) feet. 7. All pulls must be made from a solid draw bar. Maximum draw bar height is not to exceed 20 (twenty) inches to the top of the hooking point. Hitch shall be no closer than 18 (eighteen) inches from the center of the rear axle to the point the hook of the sled makes contact. 8. Hook hitches must have a 3 (three) inch diameter hole or a clevis of the same diameter. The hitch point to the back of the draw bar cannot exceed 1 (one) inch. The hook from the sled must drop in and swing freely. Draw bars must be set up in such a manner that they will not move during the pull. No weights shall be hung directly above the hitch point so as not to interfere with the hooking of the sled. 9. If a tractor is having mechanical problems and the driver stops before the 100 (one hundred) foot marker, they will be allowed to drop to the end of the class and have 1 (one) attempt to start the sled and make their pull. No repairs will be made on the track. 10. All pullers must start with a tight chain, and will be allowed 2 (two) consecutive attempts. 11. Tractors will be stopped if the front wheels exceed 36 (thirty six) inches, the flagman has complete discretion. 12. If the tractor goes out of bounds it will result in a disqualification, no measurement will be taken. The sled may cross the line as long as the tractor stays in bounds. Loss of any weight(s) or any part of the tractor until unhooked from the sled will also result in disqualification. If a weight or weights fall off because of breakage, the tractor will not be disqualified. 13. In case of a tie, there will be a pull off at the end of the class. 14. No consumption of intoxicating substances before you pull, you must remain seated during your pull and drive in a safe manner both on the track and in the pit area. 15. The puller must have a green flag to start; any puller starting or pulling on a red flag will be disqualified. 16. Unsportsmanlike like conduct will result in disqualification. 17. All drivers pull at their own risk. 18. No riders will be allowed on tractors at any time. 19. No hot rodding or showing off of any kind at all times, except during the pull. 20. Speed limit is 5 (five) mph unless pulling. (in the pit area and to and from the track). 21. There will be no grace weight allowed in any of the classes. 22. There will be a floating finish out to 350 (three hundred fifty) feet. 23. No class jumping will be allowed. 24. All tractors over 30% rpm s and modified tractors must have steel flywheel, no cast iron flywheels. (All pullers must sign a affidavit that they are running a steel flywheel and steel clutch components). 25. All non-stock diesel style vehicles shall have air shut off, operable from the rear of the tractor and operable from the driver s seat. Page 2 of 7

3 26. When vehicle motor is running the operator must be in the drivers seat at all times (in the pits or on the track). 27. Driver of any pulling vehicle running alcohol must wear a full fire suit (jacket, pants, gloves, shoes). 28. Engine driven fan must be properly shrouded if engine is operated at 10% over stock RPM. 29. Engines in Modified, Improved Farm, and Super Stock classes must use electric fans on radiators. 30. Remember this is only a tractor pull, so have fun! Pulling is a privilege, not a right. CLASS RULES Virgin Farm Stock Weight Class: 5,500 lbs max (3 mph) 1. All general rules apply 2. Tractors will be stopped if the front wheels exceed 36 (thirty six) inches in height. The flagman has complete discretion. 3. Factory weights and factory positions only. No hanging weights or fabricated weight brackets. 4. Stock drawbar. No modifications pull from clevis (no shimming of clevis) Max Tire 6. No governor modifications. 7. One size over factory tires allowed. Farm Stock 4,700 lbs (4 mph) 5,700 lbs (4 mph) 6,700 lbs (4 mph) 7,700 lbs (10 mph) 9,500 lbs (10 mph) 10,500 lbs (10 mph) 11,000 lbs (10 mph) No duals 2. Tractors will be stopped if the front wheels exceed 36 (thirty six) inches in height. The flagman has complete discretion. 3. Belt driven blowers and turbos will not be allowed (7,700 lbs & Under). 4. No cut tires allowed (fifty) feet is the maximum distance to change speed (four) mph for 4,700 & 5,700& 6, (ten) mph for 7,700, 9,500, 10,500 and 10 (ten) mph & no duals for 11,000 and the 1 st 100 (one hundred) feet to get the speed set for Farm Stock classes. 7. Tractor must be factory stock block, no alterations. Weight brackets and safety equipment allowed. Improved Farm Stock 4750 lbs Page 3 of 7

Top cut tires are allowed and maximum size limit of 18.4 X A speed limit of 7 (seven) mph while pulling. 7. The tractor must have wheelie bars that can support the tractor. 8. A distance of 50 (fifty) feet maximum will be allowed for shut down to change speeds. 9. Tractors will be allowed to have side shields. 10. Rear fenders are recommended. 11. No 800 (eight hundred) components in Minneapolis Molines. No custom fabricated intakes, no headers. 13. Tractors running 30% over stock rpm must have blanket, safety shields, and adequate shrouding; belt driven components must be covered, no exceptions. Light Hot Farm 5800 lbs 6200 lbs 2. Must have wheelie bars that will support the tractor. 3. Must have a scatter blanket. Or ¼ (one quarter) inch metal plating. 4. Must have a kill switch and side shields. 5. A distance of 100 (one hundred) feet for shut down. 6. If the engine will bolt in without alteration of the frame, engine will be allowed. 7. Helmets are required. 8. Tractors must have rear fenders. 9. Roll cage required (five) point harness required. 11. Turbos will not be allowed. 12. No Nitrous Oxide Limited Light Super Stock 6,200 lbs 6,500 lbs 2. Must have cage, five point harness, wheelie bars, tie bars, fire suit, helmet, and the clutch area covered with an approved blanket, and the engine enclosed. 3. Max tire size 25.5 x 32, any cut allowed. 4. NO component chassis allowed; rear housing must be of ag tractor origin. 5. OEM (replacement/heritage) rear end, transmission, torque tube/bell housing required. All flywheels must be steel and be encased in bell housing, covered by SFI blanket or metal as stated in Light Super rules. 6. Engine cannot move independent of frame, rear end, or transmission. 5 7. Engine to be in stock location for chassis being used, a max of a 1 inch adapter plate will be allowed. Engine: NO DE-CUBING ALLOWED 1. Cubic Inch Displacement Limits: a. <=479 CID-maximum of 3 x 3 turbo and NO inter/after coolers allowed. (Diesel) b. <=410 CID-maximum of 3 x 4 turbo with an inter/after cooler allowed. (Diesel) C. <=315 CID-may run twin turbo chargers <=3 x 4 with inter/after cooler. (Diesel) d. <=370 CID-maximum of 3 x 4 turbo and NO inter/after cooler. (Spark Engine, Alcohol) 2. Engine must be OEM manufacturer brand and/or follow Heritage Lines. All engines series must be of Agricultural roots. 3. OEM block and cylinder head for engine being used. No aftermarket, billet or re-cast or insert heads allowed. 4. Cylinder heads to have a maximum of two valves per cylinder. 5. No overhead cams allowed. Fuel Pump: 1. Maximum of P7100 series pump or smaller with one plunger and one injector per cylinder for all diesel tractors. 2. Mechanical or electric fuel pumps for Alcohol tractors allowed. 3. Acceptable fuels; Diesel, (bio allowed), Alcohol (methanol). One fuel only, no pressurized secondary fuels or oxygen enhancers. Turbo: 1. All turbos to meet the sizing restrictions as listed above in the 'Cubic Inch Limitations'. 2. All 3 inch inlets will be measured with a 3.05 slug and the outlets with a 4.05 slug or 3.05 as size limit dictates. 3. All turbo compressor and exhaust wheels are to rotate within the maximum bore allowed at a minimum of inch protrusion into the bore. No plugs allowed. 4. Slots are allowed (MAF enhancement, MWE groove, etc) at a maximum of width and no other air sources allowed. Water Injection-Inter/after coolers: 1. All water injection to be of tap, bottled, or distilled water with NO alcohol additives or other enhancers allowed (no alcohol, windshield washer fluid, etc). 2. Soluble oil mix additives are allowed for lubrication. 3. Inter/after cooler ice must be in or on tractor at weigh in. Light Super Stock 6,500 lbs 7,300 lbs 2. Must have wheelie bars that will support the tractor. 3. Must have a scatter blanket. Or ¼ (one quarter) inch metal plating. 4. Must have a kill switch. 5. A distance of 100 (one hundred) feet for shut down. 6. Converting a diesel head to gas will be allowed. 7. If the engine will bolt in without alteration of the frame, engine will be allowed. 8. Helmets are required. 9. Tractors must have rear fenders. 10. Roll cage required. Page 5 of 7

6 11. 5 (five) point harness required. 12. Turbos will be allowed. Modified Class 6,000 lbs 6,200 lbs 2. Helmets required. 3. Fire jacket is required. 4. A kill switch is required. 5. A safety blanket is required, if automatic transmission is used. 6. A roll cage is required. 7. A 5 (five) point harness is required. 8. A fire extinguisher on the tractor is required. 9. A deadman s throttle is required. (Spring loaded, no stop). 10. A neutral safety switch is required. 11. One engine must be a cast block. Power adders allowed (one) carburetor 14. Maximum tire size will be 30.5 x A distance of 100 (one hundred) feet for shutdown. 16. Weld on hubs on axles is required, bolt on hubs are not allowed. Econo-Mod 5,200 lbs 5,500 lbs 1. Small block, not over 400 (four hundred) cubes. 2. Carburetor not to exceed 650 (six hundred fifty) cfm. 3. Maximum tire size 20.8 X 38. (Maximum wide 20.8). 4. Cast block, factory automotive block, no crate engines. 5. Cast iron heads. 6. Cast aluminum intakes allowed. 7. No fuel injection, no alcohol. 8. No nitrous oxide. 9. All safety rules (length, width, height) must comply with other modified classes. Improved Stock Truck 5,700 lbs 6,200 lbs No Diesels 1. All general rules apply 2. Motor must match pickup make. Must be mounted in stock location as intended by the manufacturer. 3. Truck must be complete inside and out. 4. Factory cast (OEM) heads only. ** 5. Must run 4150 flange carb or smaller. Page 6 of 7

7 6. May run an electric fuel pump. 7. May run an electric fan and electric water pump. 8. May run a small block with headers 420 cubic inches or less. Headers must be in frame with no bigger than 1 7/8 primaries or 3 collector. 9. No weight bars on front. Must have stock OEM front bumper. Weight added must be in the pickup box. If you do not have rear bumper you must have bump stops. 10. No solid or blocked suspension or ladder bars and no clamping springs. Must be on springs. Lift kits allowed. Must use stock frame and running gear. 11. Wheel base must not be altered from factory. 12. Must pull off hitch with front mount not to extend forward of rear spring shackles. Rear mount must be within 6 inches of rear of factory length frame. The entire hitch mount must extend beyond the back of the box or flat bed. Hitch hole must be mounted solid to rear hitch mount. Must not pivot off from front mount. (NO PROSTOCK TYPE HITCH) Hitch must be easily accessible. These rules are if you make a hitch. You may bolt a factory receiver hitch to factory location. 13. Must be licensed. No class jumping allowed cubic inch limit.* Duel plane intake only, no air gap type intake manifolds allowed. An exception to this rule is if vehicle was originally equipped with a GM 8.1 liter or Dodge 8.0 liter engine, these will be allowed. 15. Cast iron exhaust manifolds only, manifolds must have OEM numbers stamped on them. 16. Vehicles must have an exhaust system with muffler(s), 3 diameter max. Exhaust must exit at least 12 behind cab. 17. Slipper Clutches and Stall converters are allowed. 18. Vehicle must have DOT approved tires, no larger than 33 inch. **Where OEM is specified in this document, it means that part is the same make and model year as the truck. Open Truck 8,000 lbs Weight Class- 8,000 lbs - Open; Gas or Diesel, no nitrous 1. All general rules apply 2. Must have all safety equipment hitch height.
