3 Top Loading IGATEC - Top Loading-arms serve for the quick and safe loading and unloading of trucks, rail tank wagons, settling tanks, containers and other suitable vessels form above. By the means of a suitable selection of the equipment and materials the loading of almost all liquid and gaseous products of the chemical and petrochemical industry is possible. The IGATEC Top Loading arms are characterized by a huge operating range and flexibility. An exact positioning of the tank vehicles is not necessary. In addition vehicles with different heights can be served with the same loading arm. Normally the operation of the Top Loading arm is carried out from a loading platform. By means of a folding stair the safe passage to the tank vehicles is realized. The loading arm is mounted to a stand post or to an existing carrier. After the loading operation the loading arm can be adjusted in the rest position. Designs are subject to change without notice 3

4 The easy manipulation of the loading arm is assured by means of suitable weight balance systems. The operation personnel is able to move and position the loading arm without efforts. The connection of the loading arm to the tank vehicle or rail tank wagon depends on the vehicles and wagons themselves and on the products which have to be loaded. 11 TOP SPOT - Loading systems IGA TEC TOP SPOT - loading systems are a technical and cost-efficient alternative to the generally known ON SPOTloading systems and serve for the top loading of rail tank wagons with petroleum products. Both loading systems are designed for big loading performances up to 10 mio. m 3 p.a.. One main characteristic of the TOP SPOT - loading system is the maximum possible flexibility. 12 TOP SPOT - loading systems are fully automatic plants which are operated by electromechanic or hydraulic means,optionally. The operation of the TOP SPOT - loading systems is carried out from an operator building, which is out of the explosive area, or if necessary directly from the loading platform. A big advantage of the TOP SPOT - loading systems is based in the minimum of modifications in the case of modernisation. The existing infrastructure can be adopted without appreciable changes. This means: Reconstruction of the existing loading platform No extensive replacements of the steel structure Connection to the existing piping system No foundation works No rail track works During the reconstruction the loading operation with the old systems is still possible.
