The 4000D-X redefines the entire dry van category with its best-in class sidewall durability. A patented post and panel design now features a composite wall for less impact damage and greater durability. High-density polyurethane foam construction is now sandwiched between the high-strength inner and outer skins securely bonding them together for lower tare weight and increased payload capacity. A perfect upgrade from the conventional plate trailer, Utility s thin-wall 4000D-X dry van features high-quality standards such as 80K galvanized steel lining panels, 12" high galvanized steel wearbands, a stainless steel rear door frame and flush-mounted galvanized steel logistics posts with fully recessed squeezed fasteners to ensure greater durability. The 4000D-X Dry Van integrates exceptional strength and the lowest tare weight to provide greater productivity and lower operating costs.

Standard Features Exceed Industry Standards 1 80K WHITE GALVANIZED STEEL INTERIOR PANELS The steel interior lining is pre-painted white for greater light reflection and greater chance to reduce interior damage. 2 STAINLESS STEEL REAR DOOR FRAME This zero paint rear door frame is engineered for less maintenance, lower life cycle costs and greater durability. The door opening height is 110-1/2". 3 12" HIGH 80K GALVANIZED STEEL WEARBANDS The first line of defense for a trailer s sidewall is the wearband a 12" high galvanized 80K steel component is standard to provide added impact protection, strength and stiffness. 4 COMPOSITE WALL FOAM INSULATION Our patented post and panel sidewall design features a composite wall of high-density polyurethane foam that is now sandwiched between the high-strength inner and outer skins securely bonding them together for lower tare weight and increased payload capacity

MORE VALU WHITE LINING PANELS Our ,000 psi galvanized steel interior lining panels are pre-painted white for greater light reflection, allowing fork truck drivers to see better, reducing interior damage. AIR RIDE SUSPENSION Standard air ride suspension is designed to provide load protection as well as driver comfort. Integrated axle mounting design reduces fatigue and increases service life. REINFORCED FLOORS Our flooring planks are pre-undercoated for 100% coverage to extend floor life, and a special sealant is applied between each floorboard seam. For superior strength, the 80K, pre-coated steel crossmembers are attached to the bottom rails with four 3/8" squeezed rivets. Utilitydesigned gaskets are installed between the outside mounted air and electrical trough and bottom rails to protect against leaks. 80K FLUSH STEEL POSTS Our 80K psi galvanized steel side posts are designed and torture-track tested for maximum strength and durability. Type A logistic slots on 8" or 4" vertical centers (depending on model) provide added versatility for securing your cargo. RELIABLE SUPPORT LEGS BRACING For greater strength and lower tare weight, aerospace-style wingplates feature collared holes and embossed ribs. Additional reliability is provided by formed channel X braces. Web stiffeners between front and rear pairs of crossmembers are designed to absorb uncoupling impact. 12" GALVANIZED STEEL WEARBAND A low-profile, 80,000 psi high-tensile galvanized steel wearband provides added impact protection, strength, and stiffness D.O.T. RATED DOCK BUMPER Utility s high-strength bumper fully complies with Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements and is integrated into the rear threshold assembly. MODULAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM For easy access, lower maintenance and less downtime, the gladhands and nose box are externally mounted. A modular, sealed wiring harness provides 100% plug-in connectors. Lower rear side clearance lights are recessed and protected, while the stop, turn, and tail lights are grounded through the harness. BENDIX SB-4 SPRING BRAKE CHAMBERS The transition to the Bendix spring brake chamber is now standard equipment on all 4000D-X Dry Van trailer models, complementing the Bendix automatic slack adjuster. The Bendix product provides the operator with outstanding performance, and high reliability from matched parts, while offering a 5-year limited warranty on parts and 1-year on labor.

9 E BY EXCEEDING INDUSTRY STANDARDS. HEAVY-DUTY KING PIN ASSEMBLY The entire king pin assembly is sealed inside and out, with a rustpreventive coating. Squeezed stainless-steel 3/8" diameter rivets attach the king pin section to the bottom rails. For increased pick up strength, the approach plate is turned up a full 12" and is supported by six formed, high-tensile steel channels. HIGH-STRENGTH FRONT WALL The extruded aluminum, 4-3/4" radius corner posts provide square loading for lower maintenance costs while the steel tees and corner post end plates are welded to the approach plate for added durability. UNIQUE ROOF DESIGN KEEPS FREIGHT DRY Utility s uniquely engineered roof structure features a bi-directionally tensioned.040 roof skin with reinforcing plates at all four corners and full-length edge-capping strips to prevent moisture entry. The roof skin is supported by epoxy-bonded, 1" deep, anti-snag roof bows. A wrap-around front rail and mechanically-formed roof skin edge keeps the freight dry. INTEGRATED THRESHOLD PLATE For maximum strength and durability, the threshold plate is fully welded to both the buckplate and the 24" deep side gussets. STAINLESS STEEL REAR DOOR FRAME For added stiffness and greater resistance to dock impact damage, the stainless-steel buckplate features a 3/8' thick bang plate and light protection bars. Utility s unique stainless steel rear door frame design provides for a door opening height of 110-1/2". SNAG FREE RECESSED SQUEEZE RIVETS Our 80,000 psi lining panels are squeeze riveted to the outer skin and side posts to form a snag-free, high-strength sandwich panel. The fully recessed fasteners won t work loose, ensuring greater durability. HENDRICKSON QUIK DRAW PIN PULLER A fully pneumatic Hendrickson s Quik-Draw pin-pull mechanism device can be operated with a simple pull of a handle. This unique design enhances driver productivity and reduces effort when repositioning the sliding suspension. 5-YEAR STEMCO WHEEL END Stemco Platinum Performance wheel end system includes Guardian HP oil seals, PRO-TORQ spindle nuts and Integrated Sentinel hubcaps. The entire system is warranted for five years and covers parts and labor. LED LIGHTS Cost-efficient LED lights are now standard on all upper clearance and rear header lights as well as stop, tail and turn locations. Up to 10,000 hours of service life and lower power demand on electrical components result in lower maintenance costs and increased profits.

TRANSLUCENT ROOFS A durable Kemlite ETR roof skin offers greater interior visibility to help forklift truck drivers position pallets easier and with less sidewall impact damage. COMPOSITE PLATE REAR DOOR PANELS Our ½" thick composite panels are available in either PPW aluminum or Stainless outer skin. Both offer greater durability and less maintenance. PINTLE HOOKS Available for both single axle doubles and dual axle vans, reinforced for maximum durability and longer life. ROLL UP DOORS A wide range of roll up doors are available from all manufacturers. Stainless steel door frames are reinforced for longer life and minimum maintenance. DIAMOND PATTERN SS DOORS Utility Trailer pioneered the development of lower glare stainless steel rear door panels without sacrificing style and looks. HEAVY DUTY ALUMINUM FLOORS Utility s 16,000 lb. capacity all-aluminum, heavy-duty floor provides greater payload capacity and lower tare weight. HD 14 GA. GALV STEEL WEARBAND For added impact protection, strength and stiffness, this wearband is 10 times stronger than the base wearband. ID width is reduced by 3/8". utility wide track system The wide track system is available with single-wide base tires and 6" wider spring centers for greater stability and improved tracking.
