1 Tacoma Musical Playhouse presents The Tacoma Musical Playhouse Food Truck Festival GENERAL INFORMATION: Tacoma Musical Playhouse (TMP) will hold its first TMP Food Truck Festival on: Saturday, June 11, 2016, Noon 8:00pm Admission to the Food Truck Festival is FREE. This is a rain or shine event! LOCATION: The Food Truck event will be held behind the Tacoma Musical Playhouse building at 7116 Sixth Avenue, Tacoma, WA Free parking will be made available across the street from TMP at the Park N Ride. THE WIZ MUSICAL: There will be two productions of The Wiz during the Food Truck Festival, at 2:00pm and 8:00pm. Tickets for The Wiz are available online at or by calling APPLICATION & FEES: Submit the application there is no fee. Application does not guarantee participation. Acceptance into the event is based upon date and time of receipt of application, and type of food vendor. All applicants will receive a confirmation indicating whether they have been approved to participate in the Food Truck Festival. Application must be turned in no latter then June 3, All based upon space availability, marketing of food truck is not guaranteed. We reserve the right to limit the amount of vendors in a competing food class. While we are unable to guarantee there are not competing vendors at the Tacoma Musical Playhouse Food Truck Festival, we take this consideration very seriously during the mapping and placement of food trucks. MENU: Each vendor will provide a taste sampler that is no more than $5.00 per serving. This allows the public the opportunity to try more food which in turn gives each and every one of the food vendors more business.

Please call if you have any questions, HEALTH DEPARTMENT and FIRE DEPARTMENT PERMITS: By filling out this application, you are agreeing to have the appropriate Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department ( or /call Amanda Peters at apeters@tpchd.org, ) and Fire Permits and meet all regulations pertaining to requirements as established by these county departments prior to participating in scheduled event. Any vendor who is found out of compliance with these permits/regulations on the day of the event will not be allowed to vend and will forfeit all fees paid to the Tacoma Musical Playhouse. A copy of the temporary food permit WILL BE REQUIRED by TMP prior to on-site arrival. EVENT LOAD-IN: Event load-in is Saturday, June 11, beginning at 9:00AM. Once we receive all applications final confirmation and staggered arrival times for all mobile trucks will be sent out to ease load-in. All trucks must be ready to serve the public beginning at 12:00 Noon NO EXCEPTIONS. EVENT LOAD-OUT: Event load-out is Saturday, June 11, following the end of the event. In order to ensure a safe exit of participants and food trucks, vendors will not be allowed to pack up and leave prior to 8:00PM. All equipment, trucks, etc. must be removed this evening, no exception. INSURANCE A Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 general liability, $2,000,000 general aggregate and naming Tacoma Musical Playhouse as additional insured is required and due on file to Tacoma Musical Playhouse no less than seven days prior to the event. Depending on the service you are providing, and the activity and risk level of your group, you may be required to obtain bodily injury and property damages liability insurance in accordance with District policy, name the District as an additional insured on the policy, and be responsible for obtaining said insurance. INDEMNIFICATION: Depending on the service you are providing, you may be required to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the District, its agents, employees and officials, while acting within the scope of their duties, from all causes of action, demands and claims, including the cost of their defense, arising in favor of
3 Tacoma Musical Playhouse Food Truck Festival page 3 of 5 the organization, the organization s employees or third parties on account of personal injuries, bodily injuries, death, or damage to property arising out of the acts or omissions of the organization, its employees or representatives, concessionaires of the event or any other person or entity, except for liability caused due to the sole negligence of the District. After reviewing this application, the District will determine where you must indemnify the District and its agents. POWER NEEDS: All vendors must be self-sufficient. Tacoma Musical Playhouse is not able to provide access to utilities. SPACE ASSIGNMENTS: Locations will be determined after the standard registration date concludes. Consideration will be based on competing food categories and time of submissions of application. GROUND SURFACE AND WEATHER: The Tacoma Musical Playhouse Food Truck Event is an outdoor event that utilizes a paved parking lot for setup. There may be some areas in the parking lot that are not level so please bring truck levels. If you plan on putting up a tent, please make sure that all tents have a 25 lb. weight on each leg for safety in case of windy weather. Tents used for any sort of cooking purpose must be fire retardant with the inspection sticker. The Tacoma Musical Playhouse will take place rain or shine so please be prepared for any kind of weather. TRASH/GARBAGE: It is each vendor s responsibility to remove all event related to trash from their area. This includes inside your truck. Tacoma Musical Playhouse will be responsible and recycling receptacles around the specified eating areas.

TMP is not able to provide access to utilities. Mobile food truck vendors must stay on outside perimeter of parking lot. Reminder there is no access to onsite utilities. Generators and fuels must be setup and kept on your truck at all times. All vendors are encouraged to reduce portion sizes to promote multiple purchases by even goers. Weight all tents, no staking allowed. Smoking on TMP s property will be smoke free please refrain from smoking on the property of TMP.
