The new facility at Sriperembudur near Chennai will be commissioned soon. 6 Electric Hoists The reliable chain hoists can be used universally in the SWL range of 125kg to 6300kg. The attractive design of STAHL CraneSystems wire rope and chain hoists makes a compact, robust construction that requires extremely little maintenance. The hoists are reliable and powerful. Particularly high mechanism group classification in accordance with FEM is a proof of the above average lifetime, safety and quality. All hoists from STAHL CraneSystems are also available in explosion-protected design. 7 Solutions Service Satisfaction Jib Cranes Jib Cranes assist the staff and multiply human efforts, handling loads up to 6300kg precisely and effortlessly. Jib Cranes are useful especially for loading or unloading of work pieces on machine tools. These are also useful for loading or unloading of trucks. They can also become an inseparable part of a standalone workstation. Column mounted Jib Cranes are necessary when no other appropriate support near a workstation is available. Wall mounted Jib Cranes are ideal solutions for workstations located near walls or vertical structures. ElectroMech designs and manufactures such Jib Cranes to suit specific client requirements. Wall Travelling Cranes The ElectroMech Single Girder Wall Travelling Crane using STAHL CraneSystems hoist is designed for operation on a lower level beneath a large travelling crane system. These cranes provide additional handling possibilities and ensure smooth and trouble-free material handling between different working areas. A wall travelling crane installed at right angles across the hall can serve several workstations. ElectroMech Single Girder Wall Travelling Cranes are available for a maximum load capacity up to 5000kg and for a maximum outreach of 10m depending upon the load capacity. 07

8 Single Girder Overhead Cranes STAHL CraneSystems single girder cranes are available in a range of SWLs up to 16,000kg. They can also be used even in small buildings where the available headroom is very less. To suit a specific requirement, different variants such as EL-A (flush at the top), EL-B (flush at the bottom) and EL-C (raised) are available. A further increase in the height of the lift is possible by using an 'extra short headroom trolley suitable for loads up to 5000kg. Single girder cranes are usually supplied with a control pendant and festoon cable supply along the crane bridge. However, for special requirements, Radio Control can also be provided, which avoids the use of cable loops and cable trolleys on the crane girder. 9 Solutions Service Satisfaction Single Girder Suspension Cranes These cranes are suitable where space is a constraint. They occupy very little space. Single girder suspension cranes run on the longer flange of the crane runway which is mounted directly on the ceiling, allowing optimum utilization of the width of the room. The lifting capacity ranges up to 10,000kg in the basic version. Higher capacity or double girder version can also be built to suit specific requirement. Multiple suspension cranes in adjacent buildings can be connected using interlocking sections. This hoist can travel onto a neighboring crane and can reach any destination in the interlocked system. 10 Double Girder Overhead Cranes STAHL CraneSystems double girder cranes are ideally suited for high-performance applications in a higher SWL range. They are available up to 160,000kg (160MT) and offer a span of up to 40m. STAHL CraneSystems double girder cranes assure highest safety, operational economy and precision handling without jerks. These cranes can be easily integrated into existing buildings with the use of special installation variants. They help in increasing productivity while ensuring safety at workplace. Other requirements such as stepless speeds, higher crane travel speeds and maintenance platforms are easily possible with original components from STAHL CraneSystems. 10

12 Semi-gantry and Gantry Cranes These versatile cranes are used mainly for activities in steel stockyards, pre-cast segment yards and other outdoor applications. These are self-propelled cranes running on rails installed at the ground level and do not require any supporting structures. These cranes can be supplied in Single Girder or Double Girder options depending on requirements of SWLs, speeds, heights of lift and other characteristics. Hoisting for these cranes can be through a standard electric wire rope hoist powered by ElectroMech or STAHL CraneSystems depending on the customer s preference and application requirement for a single girder configuration. For Double Girder Gantry cranes, the hoisting can either incorporate standard crabs (up to a SWL of 100MT) or fully customized open winch type crabs (up to 250MT). Power supply to these cranes is traditionally provided through a Cable Reeling Drum. These cranes can also be fitted with on-board generators depending on the site conditions. 12

13 Solutions Service Satisfaction Precise control of the up / down motion and / or travel motion can be achieved by fitting of Variable Frequency Drives in the panels (optional). Control can be either through a Pendant Push Button station or a Radio Remote Control (optional) or through a Control Cabin (optional). We can also provide different versions of these cranes to suit your requirement. For example - In workshops where part utilization of the shop bay is required, a Semi-gantry crane can be provided. Stacker Cranes designed and manufactured by ElectroMech gracefully help in optimizing the warehouse space by providing a highly effective, fast and safe alternative to storing and retrieving material from racking systems. 16 Shaft / Tunnel Mucking Systems ElectroMech has developed a unique and cost-effective bulk material handling system for extraction and disposal of overburden generated during construction of tunnels. These systems can very efficiently remove overburden generated during construction of deep shafts which access tunnels as well as the overburden generated during the tunneling operation itself. The typical heights of lift for such systems are in the range of 50m to 200m. The typical hoisting speeds are in the range of 30m/min to 40m/min. Several such systems designed and manufactured by ElectroMech are being used by several major construction companies and are operational at various construction sites all over the world. This includes projects where tunneling is involved in rail and road construction, underground drinking water schemes, underground tunnels for sewerage and tunneling required in hydroelectric projects. 16

17 Solutions Service Satisfaction One such prestigious project of ElectroMech is in Abu Dhabi where we have supplied specially designed Tunnel Mucking Systems for Strategic Tunnel Enhancement Program (STEP) of Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC). Our involvement in this project is through an Italian construction and civil engineering giant, Impregilo S.P.A.
