2 BROKERS COMMENTS Another excellent example of a much loved and cared for DALE NELSON 38 aft cabin motor cruiser. This boat was built by us in 2000 and is incredibly well equipped with numerous special features and modifications, which can be seen in the photographs that follow and represents a rare opportunity to buy a genuine Dale Nelson and experience and enjoy the legendary sea-keeping and the very best of craftsmanship for which DALE has become renowned. This vessel has had numerous updates to the initial build specification with the latest electronics fitted, air conditioning, satellite TV, antifouling removed and Coppercoat antifouling system being applied January 2013 (Read on for full specification). ENGINES Two Volvo Penta TAMD63P 370hp turbo charged diesel engines with Micro Commander electronic controls at both helm stations. The engines are flexibly mounted and sea water filter to each engine. Automatic fire extinguisher to engine room is a standard fitting. Engine room extractor fans. Twin station Micro Commander controls with synchronisation facility and bright finish. Manufacturers instrumentation in custom built helm panels. GENERATOR An HFL 4kva/3Kw Mariner generator with 165 hours run time with water separator and underwater outlet for water exhaust to reduce noise. FUEL CAPACITY ETC. The fuel is contained within two centre line keel tanks for greater stability. Approx. 300 gallons. Racor filter system, fuel filter shut off system with remote controls, Tank tender gauge, for fuel, water, black waste. STERN GEAR Lasdrop Seal Gen 2 type stern glands, four bladed propellors. STEERING Dual station hydraulic steering, greasers to rudder tubes, stainless steel emergency tiller. EXHAUST SYSTEM Flexible hose wet exhaust with main engine muffler and twin station HMI temperature alarms BILGE PUMP SYSTEM Five electric pumps with automatic switches and one manual bilge pump with suction inlets either side of engine room. WATER SYSTEM Freshwater approx. 95 gallons, hot water tank approx 9 gallons, all pressurised with Jabsco water pump. EXTERIOR FIT OUT Alloy mast with white finish and hinge point. Exterior helm screen alloy with white painted finish. Trim tabs with dual station controls Bow thruster Volvo BP 600B with interior and exterior controls. Simpson 100 stainless steel davits with manual winches (medium duty) bases fitted davit arms supplied loose. Beige exterior dodgers. Navy blue exterior covers for windscreen, exterior helm console, helm seat and aft deck lockers. Pram hood fitted over outer companionway doors GROUND TACKLE 1 x 20kg Bruce anchor with 50m of 9.8 mm galvanised chain with electric windlass with rope drum. Controls at exterior helm and foot switches on foredeck. AFT DECK Teak companionway doors, aft deck lockers with GRP lids, cushion backs and bases. HATCHES/PORTLIGHTS AND WINDOWS/VENTILATION Three hatches each fitted with flyscreens and blinds, one hatch to forward heads with blind, one hatch to galley with blind. 12 portlights, wheelhouse windows with sliding forward sections and grey tinted glass, ventilators to all cabins, wheelhouse, galley and aft heads. INTERIOR FINISH American cherry timber and veneer finished with two pack semi gloss varnish, grab handles throughout, carpeted throughout with carpet inlay to wheelhouse and galley steps. Leather helm and pilot seats including sliders and arm-rests. Blue leather upholstery in dinette and wheelhouse and galley areas in as new condition. Curtains throughout. Interior fittings in chrome. FORWARD CABIN Twin guest cabin with large storage areas, hanging locker and access to heads compartment on portside. FORWARD HEADS Forward heads electric toilet, shower, towel rail and lockers. WHEELHOUSE Helm position to port and pilot seat and demountable chart table to starboard. Helm and pilot seats with sliders and arm rests. There is a sofa to starboard and L-shaped seating to port. Chart table is removable and stowed at aft starboard end of wheelhouse when not in use. Custom stowage at aft end of helm saloon portside seating designed to take one bottle of Gin, one bottle of Vodka, two large wine bottles & two standard wine bottles. From the aft of the main saloon one can access the aft deck or down steps to the owner's cabin. AFT CABIN Large offset double berth and separate heads compartment. Ample stowage lockers and drawers.
