Many of these types are made of Polyamide (PA 66): a synthetic material which is mainly used in injection moulding processes. Polyamide is a hygroscopic material. This means that the material absorbs and loses moisture. For optimum handling of cable ties, it is important that the material is in a condition of equilibrium with a water content of approximately 2,5%. The packaging in which WKK supplies cable ties, ensures that the water content in the material remains constant. Therefore, it is important to store cable ties in their original packaging to preserve the quality of the cable ties. Once opened, you should use the cable ties as quickly as possible. Keep cable ties away from direct heat sources. Avoid contact with heat. For example: do not place a packing on a radiator. Do not store cable ties in sunlight. For example: on the dashboard of your car / delivery van. The ideal storage conditions are 23 C, 50% relative humidity
