1 Towing Requirements Flat bed equipment is the only way you can safely transport your vehicle. Any other towing method will damage the vehicle s drive system. Loading cargo bed length: 5710mm Loading cargo bed width: 2060mm Cargo bed plate angle: 1.4 to 2.5deg Boarding approach plate length: 1300mm Boarding approach angle: 4.9deg Tow hook location The vehicle s tow eyelet can be found in the trunk area. Release the two tie down straps, and you ll see the eyelet inserted into foam as shown below. 2 Towing onto flat bed using floor ramps Set up vehicle for loading with eyelet and ramps to provide sufficient clearance without damage to the diffuser. Tow specialist needs to continually monitor front and rear clearance during winching. Caution while loading onto flat bed The vehicle will need to be winched to the flat bed deck using ramps to eliminate potential damage to the diffuser. Tie Down Vehicles are only to be retained with Nylon 8 Point Carrier Tie Down Kits. Release line tension on winch to unload tow. Remove eyelet. 3 Carwash Mode Procedure to keep the transmission in N position (car wash mode). With the engine running: 1. Press and hold the brake pedal. 2. Within five seconds select N. 3. Then press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button. This puts the vehicle in car wash mode which must be used when your vehicle is pulled through a conveyor type automatic car wash where you or an attendant do not remain in the vehicle. The gear position remains in N with the power mode in ACCESSORY for 15 minutes, then it automatically changes to P and the power mode changes to off. Manually changing to P cancels ACCESSORY mode. The P indicator comes on and the power mode changes to OFF. Appears when you change to N, and press the ENGINE START/STOP button within five seconds. The gear position remains in N for 15 minutes, then automatically switches to P. Appears when the vehicle is stopped with the driver s seat belt unfastened and there is a chance that the vehicle may roll unintentionally. Press the P button before release the brake pedal when idling, parking or exiting the vehicle.

4 Jump Start Procedure Turn off the power to electric devices, such as audio and lights. Turn off the power system, then open the hood. Important: You cannot apply or release the parking brake if the battery goes dead. 1. Remove the maintenance cover. 2. Slide the terminal cover on your vehicle s 12-volt battery positive. 3. Connect the first jumper cable to your vehicle s 12-volt battery terminal. 4. Connect the other end of the first jumper cable to the booster battery terminal. Note: If you use a booster battery, only use a 12-volt booster battery. When using an automotive battery charger, select a charging voltage lower than 15 volts. Check the charger manual for the proper setting. 5. Connect the second jumper cable to the booster battery - terminal. 6. Connect the other end of the second jumper cable to the front frame as shown below. Do not connect this jumper cable to any other part. 7. If your vehicle is connected to another vehicle, start the assisting vehicle s engine and increase its RPM slightly. 8. Attempt to start your vehicle s engine. If it turns over slowly, check that the jumper cables have good metal-tometal contact. Note: If it is not possible to move the vehicle, then a wheel lift/dolly will be used to move the car in preparation of loading it onto a flat bed. Once your vehicle s engine has started, remove the jumper cables in the following order: 1. Disconnect the jumper cable from your vehicle s ground. 2. Disconnect the other end of the jumper cable from the booster battery - terminal. 3. Disconnect the jumper cable from your vehicle s 12-volt battery terminal. 4. Disconnect the other end of the jumper cable from the booster battery terminal. 5. Have the vehicle inspected by a nearby service station or an authorized Acura NSX dealer.

5 Pop-Out Door Handle Feature By switching the auto pop-out main switch to OFF, you can disable the auto pop-out function. For the purpose of safety and to prevent damaging the vehicle, disable this function and manually operate the handle, especially when the vehicle is being shipped by train, truck, or boat.
