VIBRATION The European Physical Agents (Vibration) Directive has been brought in to help reduce hand arm vibration syndrome injuries to power tool users. The directive requires power tool manufacturers and suppliers to provide indicative vibration test results to enable users to make informed decisions as to the period of time a power tool can be used safely on a daily basis and the choice of tool. Further Advice can be found at Vibration total values (triax vector sum) determined according to EN60745: Work mode description 1 Vibration emission value ah = 11.5m/s² Uncertainty K = 1.5m/s² The declared vibration emission value should be used as a minimum level and should be used with the current guidance on vibration. Calculating the actual period of the actual period off use can be difficult and the HSE website has further information. The declared vibration emission been measured in accordance with a standardised test stated above and may be used to compare one tool with another The declared vibration emission value may also be used in a preliminary assessment of exposure. Warning: The vibration emission value during actual use of the power tool can differ from the declared value depending on the ways in which the tool is used dependant on the following examples and other variations on how the tool is used:- How the tool is used and the materials being cut or drilled. The tool being in good condition and well maintained The use the correct accessory for the tool and ensuring it is sharp and in good condition. The tightness of the grip on the handles. And the tool is being used as intended by its design and these instructions. This tool may cause hand-arm vibration syndrome if its use is not adequately managed Warning: identify safety measures to protect the operator that are based on an estimation of exposure in the actual conditions of use (taking account of all parts of the operating cycle such as the times when the tool is switched off and when it is running idle in addition to the trigger time).note The use of other tools will reduce the users total working period on this tool. Helping to minimise your vibration exposure risk. ALWAYS use sharp chisels, drills and blades 80W SPRAY GUN SF75

Maintain this tool in accordance with these instructions and keep well lubricated (where appropriate) Avoid using tools in temperatures of 10 C or less Plan your work schedule to spread any high vibration tool use across a number of days. Health Surveillance All employees should be part of an employer s health surveillance scheme to help identity any vibration related diseases at an early stage, prevent disease progression and help employees stay in work. Double insulation: The tool is double insulated. This means that all the external metal parts are electrically insulated from the mains power supply. Placing insulation barriers between the electrical and mechanical components making it unnecessary for the tool to be earthed. Important note Remove the main plug from socket before carrying out any adjustment or servicing. Ensure your mains supply voltage is the same as your tool rating plate voltage. 11 OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS WARNING! Before using your spray gun be sure to read the instruction manual carefully. Note: Do not use textured wall paints or coating because it will block the nozzle. To obtain the best results, it is important that you prepare the surface to be sprayed and thin the paint to the correct viscosity. Before you operate your spray gun, always ensure that the surfaces to be sprayed are free from dust, dirt and grease. Make sure that you have masked the areas that should not be sprayed by a good quality masking tape. The paint or fluid to be sprayed should be thoroughly mixed and free from lumps or other particles. Many substances can be sprayed with your spray gun, but always check the manufactures recommendations before purchasing your paint. Fig 1 1. VISCOSITY MEASUREMENT (see fig1) Most paints are supplied ready for brush application and will need to be thinned before they are suitable to be sprayed. Follow the manufacturers advice on thinning the paint when used with a spray gun. The viscosity cup will help you to determine the correct viscosity of paint to be used. To determine the correct viscosity, fill the cup to the brim with the paint. Measure the amount of time it takes for the cup to empty back into the can. As a rule of thumb the viscosity should be between 15 and 30s. The table below shows recommended times for different types of material. Plastic & latex Water based Varnish Oil based paint Enamel paint Aluminum paint Car Wood sealers W SPRAY GUN SF75

If the paint takes longer than the recommended time to empty, then further thinning is required. Mix in a small quantity of the appropriate thinner and use the viscosity test until the correct thickness is achieved. Fig 2 Fig 3 Fig 4 2. FILLING AND ATTACHING THE CONTAINER (see fig2 and fig3) (a) Remove the container from the machine. (b) Before each use add a few drops of oil to holes 1 and 2. Press the suction tube firmly into the hole (2). (c) Fill the container with paint of the correct viscosity and place it onto the machine, securely tighten the container. 3. ADJUSTING THE SPRAY PATTERN (see fig4) Note: Never use the machine without any liquid in the container. The filter should always stay below the liquid surface. The sprayed capacity can he adjusted using the adjusting knob. Before starting the operation, make sure the locknut and the nozzle are tightened securely. Fill the paint container with the correctly thinned and strained paint. Aim the spray gun at a piece of scrap material and operate the trigger switch until paint is spraying. Adjust the adjusting knob until the best spray pattern is reached. Rotating the adjusting knob clockwise reduces the output and anti-clockwise increase the output. A poor spray pattern will concentrate the paint in the centre of the spray and give a blotchy finish. A good spray pattern will give even distribution of paint throughout the pattern.

4. SPRAYING TECHNIQUES (see fig5,fig6,fig7 and fig8) To obtain the best results, keep your spray gun level and parallel to the surface at all times. Keep the nozzle 25~35cm from the surface and spray evenly from side to side or up and down, use smooth and even strokes (see fig5). Do not spray at an angle because this will lead to paint runs on the surface (see fig6 and fig7). When spraying large areas use a crisscross pattern as shown (see fig8) Move the spray gun evenly from the arm,not from the wrist. Never start or stop the spray gun while it is aimed at the surface to be sprayed. Evenly control the speed of movement of the spray gun. A fast speed of movement over the surface will give a thin coat and a slow speed will give a heavy coat. If a further coat is required, make sure you observe the manufacturers drying time recommendations before applying second coat. To avoid using too much paint and prevent overspray. Where possible, avoid stopping and starting when spraying an object. This can lead to too much, or not enough paint being applied. Do not tip the spray gun to more than 45 o. Fig 5 Fig 6 Fig 7 Fig 8 80W SPRAY GUN SF75

Fig 9 5. FITTING AND USING THE EXTENSION NOZZLE (see fig9) (a) The extension nozzle should be used to spray ceiling and floor. It should also be used in areas with limited access. (b) To remove the nozzle, unscrew the nozzle and remove from the cylinder, make sure that the valve remains in the cylinder. (c) Screw the extension nozzle securely on the cylinder, turn the spraying tube into the required position. (d) Hold the machine straight up during the operation. CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING Note: Do not clean the parts by holding the machine in flowing water. Never clean the parts by submerging the machine in water or thinner. Always remember to disconnect the plug from the socket before cleaning the spray gun or paint container, it is essential that the spray gun is cleaned thoroughly after every use. Failure to clean it will almost certainly result in blockages and it may not operate when you next come to use it! THE FOLLOWING ACTION MUST BE TAKEN AFTER EVERY USE 1. Remove the container and pour the remaining liquid back in the can. 2. Clean the container thoroughly using paint thinner. 3. Put some suitable thinner into the container and be sprayed through the spray gun until only clean thinner comes out of the nozzle. 4. Remove the container, the suction tube and the filter. 5. Thoroughly clean the container, the suction tube and filter with thinner. 6. Loosen the nozzle slightly, unscrew the locknut and pull the nozzle and piston assembly out of the unit. 7. Move the nozzle and locknut from the cylinder, take the valve out of the cylinder. 8. Clean the nozzle, valve, locknut, cylinder, piston spring and piston thoroughly with

thinner. 9. Use the cleaning pin to clear the nozzle and the swirl head of the valve. 10.Apply a few drop of light lubricating oil to the piston, piston spring and cylinder. 11. Reassemble the spray gun. 12. Clean the outside of the machine with a moist cloth. 13. If the supply cord is damaged, a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent must replace it.
