2 SPOUT Flush both supply lines before installation. After flushing shut off both supply lines. Hole size for the spout and handle trim is a minimum of 1¼ and a maximum of 1½. Spout Installation (1) SPOUT Spout Installation (2) From below, slip notched washer and gasket over spout shank. Align notched washer and gasket to allow lift rod to pass through. Attach wing nut and brass lock nut. Secure spout by tightening the two screws on wing nut. Thread tee connector and washer to spout shank and tighten to seal. Wipe away any excess silicone from around the spout flange area. Remove tee connector and spout mounting hardware from spout. Slip the lift rod and lift knob assembly into the back of the spout. Apply a ring of silicone caulking around hole designated for spout. Do not use plumber s putty which can damage the finish of your faucet. From the top of the sink or counter insert the spout s threaded shank through the center hole of the sink. Make sure the spout flange washer (if provided) or o-ring is properly placed underneath the flange and snugly pressed against the sink top. 3 HANDLE TRIM NOTE: For proper handle turning direction, install the valve with the cold blue label at the right side of sink (looking from front) and the handle with the hot red label at the left side of the sink. Handle Trim Installation (1) HANDLE TRIMS ARE READY FOR SIMPLE DROP-IN INSTALLATION. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE. HANDLE TRIM Handle Trim Installation (2) Align the handle lever properly with respect to the spout. From under the basin or counter, hand tighten the brass lock nut and fiber washer to the valve body against the counter. Remove the valve body mounting hardware from the valve body. Make sure the handle with the cold blue label is installed at the right side of the spout (looking from front) and the handle with the hot red label at the left side of the spout. Apply a ring of silicone caulking around the handle hole on the sink or counter top (do not use plumber s putty which can damage the finish of your faucet). Slip the valve body s flexible hoses from the top of the sink or counter through the appropriate hole next to the spout. Aim the tee connecting hoses toward the tee connector. 4 HANDLE TRIM Handle Trim Installation (4) Loop and connect the flexible hoses to the tee connector. Tighten to avoid leakage. Connect and tighten the inlet hoses to the supply lines. After the connections have been made, carefully remove the aerator housing by unscrewing it counter-clockwise. Turn on the water supply at the valves beneath the sink or counter and check for leakages at all joints. If water leaks from any of the connections, tighten the connection until the leakage stops. If no leakage, slowly turn the handles to the full open position and let the water flush for approximately 45 seconds. This can prevent damages to the ceramic cartridges caused by debris in the supply lines. When finished flushing out system, carefully screw the aerator housing back into the spout. POP UP DRAIN Pop Up Drain Installation (1) Remove drain flange and drain plug from pop-up assembly. Drain Plug Drain Flange Aerator housing Apply a ring of silicone caulking to underside of drain flange. Do not use plumber s putty which can damage finish. Insert threaded end of the assembly up from below sink. Completely thread drain body into drain flange and align with ball rod hole facing back. Then tighten lock nut from below. 5 POP UP DRAIN Pop Up Drain Installation (2) Insert drain plug into drain flange. Make sure the adjustable eye-screw of the drain plug is facing back so that the ball rod will properly fit into it. Insert ball rod washer into drain body followed by the ball rod, 2nd washer and ball rod nut. Tighten the ball rod nut until snug. Gently push the horizontal ball rod down to place the plunger in the up position. Connect the lift rod with the ball rod and tighten securely by hand. Test pop-up for smooth operation and adjust if necessary. Spout Installation Spout Installation SPOUT ASSEMBLY IS READY FOR SIMPLE DROP-IN INSTALLATION. DO NOT DISASSEMBLE. Remove the washer and lock nut from the valve body. A Apply a ring of silicone caulking around the spout hole on the sink or counter top (do not use plumber s putty which can damage the finish of your faucet). C Carefully fit the lift rod into the back of the fixture. Lift rod Insert lavatory assembly through the spout hole. Make sure to center the lavatory over hole. Washer Lock nut B Re-install the washer and lock nut from below. Hand tighten lock nut from below while properly aligning the fixture. Secure from below with an adjustable wrench and connect the inlet hoses to the supply lines. Make sure that the hot inlet hose connects to the hot supply line, and the cold inlet hose connects to the cold supply line. D IMPORTANT: After all the connections have been made from inlet supplies to angle stop, remove the aerator. Open the lever on the lavatory. Slowly open angle stop from below and flush the lines for approximately 45 seconds to clean any debris. Turn off the water and reinsert aerator. Debris present in the line will damage fixture and cause leaking. Failure to flush fixture could result in possibly voiding warranty. Push the ball rod down so the drain plug is in the up position. 2. B Apply a ring of silicone caulking underneath the drain flange (do not use plumber s putty). Insert the threaded end of the assembly up from under the sink. Completely thread the drain flange onto the top of the drain tube. Tighten the locknut from under the sink. Lift R od & Knob Slip one leg of the ball rod clip onto the ball rod and slide the lift rod strap onto the ball rod using the nearest hole. Then slide the second leg of the clip onto the rod. Screw the nut onto the valve and lightly tighten using a 1 plumber s socket. Nut Handle Trim Installation Make a mark on the all thread past the finish wall where the all thread should be cut, according to the your handle style. See Frontset measurement chart on Page 5. Un-thread the nut, all thread, and broach from the valve and then remove the broach from the all thread. Cut the excess at the mark on the all thread. Re-insert the broach into the all thread. From the end of the newly cut all thread measure a distance of 1/2 on the broach and make a mark. Cut the excess at the mark on the broach. See diagram below. Re-thread the nut, all thread and broach back onto the valve and lightly tighten assembly with a 1 plumber s socket wrench. Backset 2-1/8-4 Finished Wall Insert the broach into the valve. 10 SPOUT Spout Installation NOTE: The length of pipe nipple should be no longer than 1/2 from finished wall. Wrap the pipe nipple with Teflon tape. Thread the quick connect onto the pipe nipple and tighten down with an adjustable wrench. Make sure the back side of the quick connect is flush against the wall. Remove the flow restrictor inside the quick connect by unscrewing the retainer. Flush the line to remove any debris inside the line. Reinstall the flow restrictor by screwing in the retainer. Press the spout onto the quick connect until it is flush with against the wall. Using the Allen key provided, tighten the spout with the set screw. 16 HANDLE Handle Trim Installation NOTE: In the off positions the Hot handle lever (left) should be in the 9 O clock position, and the Cold handle lever (right) should be in the 3 O clock position. In the ON positions the levers should both turn towards you, not away from you. Fit the handle down onto the installed valve body making sure that the handle levers are in the proper position. While holding the handle in place, turn the escutcheon clockwise onto the valve body until tightened down securely. SPOUT Spout Trim Installation Screw the insert rod into the threaded area of the spout shank head (see Figure A). IMPORTANT: Tighten the insert rod using the following steps: 1) Pull fitted lift rod up and use set of pliers to grip the base of the insert rod assembly that is connected with the valve. 2) Once held in place, twist the insert rod clockwise until it is firmly secured to the valve. 17 SPOUT Spout Trim Installation HAND SHOWER Hand Shower Trim Installation Slip the spout over the insert tube and onto the quick connect shank top. Align the spout and tighten the set screw with the Allen key provided. Tighten the hand held flange onto the flange rough. Remove the protective cap off of the hose and connect and tighten the hose to the hand shower unit. Insert plug into the set screw hole of the spout. Screw down diverter lift knob onto the diverter knob until secure. NOTE: If trim comes later than the roughs, please keep the shank protector on the spout shank at all times to avoid damages to the unit. 29 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the trim parts against the assigned wall location. Mark the ring post flange position and remove the trim. 3. Press the ring post against the mounting post. Align the ring post and secure it by tightening the set screw. 4. Check the ring post to make sure it is firmly secured. If not, tighten the set screws with the Allen key. WALL 2. Using the Allen key provided, remove the mounting post from the ring post. Press the mounting post against ring post flange position on the wall and mark the screw hole positions. INSTALLING ON WOODEN SURFACE For wooden surface, the mounting posts can be secured by screwing the screws directly into the wall. INSTALLING ONTO DRYWALL SURFACE Using a drill, pre-drill holes for the anchors. Insert the anchors into the wall. The mounting posts can be secured by screwing the screws into the anchors. 32 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the trim parts against the assigned wall location. Make sure that the roller is leveled and the roller post positions are correct. Leave 5 to 5-1/4 space between the roller posts for the rollers. Mark the roller post flange positions and remove the trims ~ 5 3. Using the Allen key provided, loosen the roller posts set screws. Slip the left roller post onto the left mounting hardware post. Align the roller post and secure it by tightening the set screw. 4. Insert the rollers with the spring onto the secured roller post. Slip the right roller post onto the right mounting hardware post. Insert the right side of the rollers into the right roller post. Align the roller post and tighten the set screw firmly. WALL 5. Check both roller posts to make sure they are firmly secured. If not, tighten the set screws with the Allen key. 2. Using the mounting hardware position as a reference, mark the screw hole positions in the center of the post flange mark on the wall.
