9 MICRO-V STOP&START THE STOP-START BELT Designed for cars equipped with a belt-driven stop-start system Stop-start systems save fuel, reduce CO 2 emissions and have become a standard fit on many vehicles. The greater strains and stresses involved mean that belt-driven stop-start systems require a specifically designed replacement belt. Through special development of their rubber formulation and cord pack, Gates Micro-V Stop&Start belts are engineered to provide ideal solutions.
