All AMX-4 portables have AMX-4 Plus upgrades and enhancements built into them, in accordance with established standards. Each and every AMX goes through a stringent process of remanufacturing. At the end of the mechanical remanufacturing every unit goes through a complete electronic calibration in the factory prior to shipping. The AMX is the most reliable portable on the market. For over twenty years hospitals have relied on the dependability of the GE-AMX portable for their imaging needs The EDI process guarantees that each AMX remanufactured at the EDI facility will operate like new and be useful for many years to come.

2 Remanufactured GE RF Systems EDI Remanufacturing Process R/F Systems All EDI Remanufactured RF Systems go through a stringent Four Phase process to give it that like-new appearance and like-new functionality. EDI provides 80/20 remanufactured RF systems, all with new CPI high frequency generators. New digital fluoroscopy systems are available as well. That is, 80 percent of the product is new components replaced by EDI engineers and 20% is original components. Our extensive process and after the sale technical support is what separates EDI from others. EDI considers every order a partnership between EDI, the dealer, and the end user. Getting the first order is important but our goal is to build your confidence in a reputation that delivers the second and third order. To meet your fluoroscopic needs you can be assured an EDI remanufactured R/F system will deliver the results you can depend on.

3 Phase One: The first phase is a complete disassembly of the major components Table stripped apart to the basic shell Spot filmer stripped apart to the basic shell Overhead Tube Crane striped down to its component telescopic parts and the bearings and bearing guides removed Radiographic and fluoroscopic collimators disassembled Overhead Bridge for Tube Crane taken apart and bearing tracks replaced Longitudinal Rails cleaned and new bearing tracks installed Chest receptor taken apart and frames sent for painting This overall process includes removal of every motor, bearing, rail, low voltage cable, High voltage cable, wire rope counter weight cable, to every nut and bolt Phase Two: All metal components, (table shell, and other component shells) are sent to the prep and paint area for a sanding and painting process and any machining or welding Then a three part paint process which includes OEM type paint and finish Phase Three: All painted components are returned to a staging area where the reassembly process begins. Every piece of hardware is replaced with new hardware Every flex cable is replaced with a new flex cables Safety cables are replaced with a new factory safety cable Safety FMI s are installed Every low voltage cable is replaced with new low voltage cables Non load-bearing bearings are cleaned and inspected, and replaced if required Load-bearing bearings are tested and replaced as needed Motors are tested for operational criteria and replaced as needed Spot filmer motors are tested and replaced as necessary Potentiometers are tested and replaced as necessary Spot filmers are re-strung with new cabling Collimators are completely rebuilt and restrung for OEM specification operability Detents are installed and tested Phase Four: After the mechanical rebuilding and parts replacement is completed the system is fully assembled for a system compatibility prestaging. It is at this time that the RF system is set up and run just as it is in the hospital or clinic it will be shipped to Digital Spot Platforms are installed per order specifications During this phase of the remanufacturing process EDI will take hundreds of exposures calibrating the many different areas of an RF system Fluoroscopic function Digital acquisition devices installed and calibrated per order requirements Radiographic exposures, kvp and Ma stations are tested for compliance to the OEM specifications Light to x-ray on the collimators Radiation leakage on the collimators Table top movement Electric locks and detents are tested and replaced as necessary Calibration includes but not limited to: kvp testing to OEM specs ma testing to OEM specs Filtration Checks in the collimators Image sizing Image focus linearity Auto brightness tracking System prestaging is so complete that when when EDI completes the prestage process the system would meet the rigorous pre-patient use acceptance testing of a medical physicist The EDI process assures all systems have the same high quality results. 4 Remanufactured OEC 9400 C-arm OEC 9400 C-arm Remanufacturing Process All OEC-9400 s go through a multistep remanufacturing process. EDI takes great pride in the fact that each unit is restored to a like-new status. Pain Management, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation Services are just a few of the applications utilizing the EDI remanufactured OEC-9400 c-arm. The rotating anode x-ray tube allows for greater penetration and resolution for the lumbar area when doing needle localizations or other work involving the thicker anatomical areas of patients. For barium swallows a VCR or Digital Video Recorder can be utilized for better record keeping and post study analysis. Whatever the purpose, an OEC-9400 remanufactured by EDI will deliver the results you can depend on.

5 Mechanical repairs/cosmetic maintenance All defective parts and covers are repaired or replaced Vertical lift assembly is tested for drift and adjusted/replaced if necessary All bearings are inspected, cleaned and re-lubricated, or replaced as needed Control panel display is tested and replaced if necessary Wheels are inspected and lubricated and/or replaced as needed New cable pushers installed All locks and brake assemblies are inspected, cleaned, and repaired or replaced as needed C-arm is completely disassembled and repainted C is removed from main frame assembly and disassembled Horizontal arm removed, inspected and repaired as necessary Vertical column removed and bearings removed inspected and replaced as required X-ray tube removed Image intensifier removed Camera removed Wheels removed, cleaned and or replaced from main chassis Chassis inspected for structural defects and repaired as necessary New main connecting power and cable installed to include new low voltage and High Voltage cables All boards are removed from main chassis and inspected for cold solder joints Steering is tested and adjusted as required Foot switch and hand switch provided on each unit A complete set of operator and service manuals are provided All covers are sent to the prep and paint area for cosmetic refinishing Re-assembly All components sent to C-arm reassembly area for rebuilding C, Image tube and camera, Vertical column, main control and power cable installed New batteries are installed New CRT monitors installed in monitor cart Monitor cart rebuilt When C-arm is completely rebuilt mechanically system is sent for calibration and final testing Calibration and Final Testing Image intensifier and X-ray tube are tested for stability and balance Image intensifier is tested for resolution and gain to be within OEM specifications X-ray tube bearings are tested for noise and coast time X-ray tube filaments and stator windings are tested X-ray tube radiation output is verified to be within OEM specifications X-ray generator high voltage tested Every kvp and ma station tested for accuracy Image system tested and set for ABS sensing area Maximum dose rate is set in compliance with government regulations New or used Vidicon camera tube calibrated to OEM specifications X-ray beam is aligned for each field size C-arm is tested for current leakage and adjusted per specifications Vertical lift assembly is tested for drift and adjusted/replaced as necessary with new style mechanism All monitors are aligned, resized, centered and focused All monitors are adjusted for brightness and linearity Video system is optimized for gray scale and resolution All power supplies are tested and calibrated or replaced as necessary
