4 EC regulation no. 852/2004 Food hygiene Obligations of the food company Article 1 excerpt: The food company is primarily responsible for food safety. Article 2 excerpt: The term food hygiene refers to measures and precautions ( ) to control risks and to ensure that food ( ) remains safe for human consumption. 5 Guideline 2006/42/EG Machine guideline Obligations of the manufacturer / distributor Art. 2 Definition of the term machine : We consider the bulk good facility to be the entirety of machines for executing processing steps, such as storage, transportation, dosage, processing. Art. 5 Distribution and start-up operation: By executing the EC declaration of conformity (...) the manufacturer / distributor confirms, among other things, the compliance with hygiene guidelines according to annex 1 paragraph 2.1 food machines and machines for cosmetic or pharmaceutical products.
