5 Clearcoats European Clearcoats European Clearcoat RS-6100 is a high-production clearcoat that is compatible with all acrylic and polyester basecoat systems. Air dries in about 2-3 hours. Levels instantly as it hits the panel, making it very easy to get a smooth, high-gloss finish. This clearcoat utilizes the best UV stabilizers to prevent yellowing. MRS-6200 has excellent adhesion to both acrylic and polyester basecoat systems and easy to buff the next day or 3-4 days later. 8 Clearcoats 3 Minute High Production Acrylic Urethane Clearcoat This acrylic urethane clearcoat reaches a dust-free finish in about 3 minutes. It is the ideal clearcoat for shops that have airborne dirt and overspray problems. RS-2600V is also an excellent choice as a cut-in clear for replacement parts. Activator: X-Slow RS-2295 Slow RS-2285 Medium RS-2275 Fast RS-2260 (Also available in 1 Gal.) RS-2600V Specialty Clearcoats Vari-Gloss Low Gloss Clearcoat This is an acrylic urethane clearcoat formulated for multiple gloss levels depending on the mix ratio. It can be used for undersides of hoods, door jambs, backsides of fenders and quarter panels. MRS-4524 has excellent UV resistance and can be used on exterior panels. Matches OEM matte finishes. Activator: MRS-4525 (Also available in 8oz.) MRS-4524 MRS-4524-Q Reconditioning Cut-In Clearcoat A versatile 1K clearcoat that can be used to cut-in hinges, door jambs and other small parts. It can also be used on spray out cards for matching color. Does not yellow or haze over time like other aerosol clearcoats. RS oz. Aerosol Blenders Blend-Eze Panel Blender/Color Checker This is a unique blend of premium solvents and resins designed to be used as a panel blender for 2K clearcoat systems and single-stage urethanes. It is compatible with most major clearcoat, basecoat and single-stage urethane systems. RS-2710 can also be used to check color match or as a wet-bed sealer. RS-2710 RS-2710-Q RS oz. Aerosol 2.1 V.O.C. Blend-Eze Uniform Finish Coat A blend of premium compliant solvents and resins designed to be used as a panel blender for 2K clearcoats and single-stage urethane paint systems. It is compatible with most single-stage urethane systems, basecoats and clearcoats. MRS-2720-Q can also be used to check color match or layout of metallic colors. 9 Primers Primer Surfacers 2.1 V.O.C. Acrylic Lacquer Primer Surfacer This is a premium acrylic lacquer primer surfacer formulated for the most stringent V.O.C. regulations. This primer surfacer must be reduced with zero V.O.C. reducer to be compliant. MRS-771 has excellent adhesion with superior filling and sanding properties. For optimum performance a compliant self-etching primer or epoxy primer should be applied to bare substrate before applying MRS-771. Reducer: Fast Medium Slow MRS-165 MRS-175 MRS-185 MRS-771 Lacquer Primer Surfacer Grey A premium quality lacquer primer surfacer formulated with high-quality resins. This primer surfacer is a fast-dry lacquer primer that sands easily after 30 minutes. Must be reduced with zero V.O.C. reducer to be nationally compliant. Reducer: Fast Medium Slow MRS-165 MRS-175 MRS-185 RS-768 Tek-Elite Primer Surfacer This is a two-component, urethane primer with excellent filmbuild and sands easily. It has excellent adhesion properties and can be used on a variety of automotive substrates. Very easy to spray and levels to an almost texture-free surface. Can be used as a non-sanding sealer. MRS-7980 MRS-7980-B MRS-7980-W (Also available in quarts) Grey Black White Featured Item! Activator: MRS-798 (Also available in 8oz.) SpotWerkes 2K Primer This is a 2K primer surfacer designed for spot and single panel repairs. Ready to sand in minutes. It can be applied over polyester body filler, OEM surfaces, epoxy primer or self-etch primers, rigid and semi-rigid plastics. For optimum corrosion protection, a self-etch primer or epoxy primer should be applied to bare metal areas before applying MRS MRS-8500 MRS-8500-Q Activator: MRS-8550 (Also available in 8oz.) Super High Build Urethane Primer RS-782 is a 2K super high build primer with excellent sanding and holdout properties. Easily fills deep sand scratches and when used properly, will not leave rough featheredges, ringing or lifting. Excellent for all surfacing work under urethane finishes. 10 Primers 2K Catalized Urethane Primer A 2K urethane primer surfacer designed for excellent film build and fast dry-to-sand time. It has excellent holdout and feathers easily with no ringing or lifting. Activator: RS-785 (Also available in 8oz.) RS-784 RS-784-Q Rapid Production 2K Urethane Primer Spray as a high/medium build surfacer, non-sanding, or singlecoat sealer. Dry-to-sand in as little as 50 minutes, depending on film thickness. Can be applied over unsanded e-coat primer on inside surfaces, saving hours of preparation time. Intermix colors to achieve the appropriate ground coat shade. RS-790G RS-790B RS-790W Grey Black White (RS-790G also available in quarts) Activator: Normal RS-791 Slow RS-792 Flexible RS-793 (Also available in 8oz.) 2.1 V.O.C. Rapid Production 2K Urethane Primer This is a 2K urethane primer surfacer designed to have excellent film build and fast dry-to-sand times in V.O.C. restricted areas. RS-796 sands and feathers easily and provides excellent solvent resistance, preventing ringing and lifting. Activator: RS-797 (Also available in 8oz.) RS-796 RS-796-Q Primer Sealers 2.1 V.O.C. 1K Acrylic Sealer MRS-774 is a ready-to-spray one-component primer sealer that can be applied to previously coated substrates to provide uniform surface tension and color. Excellent adhesion and color hold-out. Provides an extremely smooth surface for topcoating and is highly resistant to lifting of undercoats. Can be used wet-on-wet application (requires no sanding before topcoating). MRS-774 RTS Tek-Elite Waterborne Sealer A premium non-sanding, ready-to-spray sealer that has superior solvent resistance for enhanced color holdout. It sprays out to a smooth, non-porous surface that creates a uniform surface for all topcoats, except lacquers. MRS-850 has excellent adhesion to a variety of bare metals and other automotive substrates. It can be used as an isolator over sensitive substrates. 11 Primers 2.1 V.O.C. Non-Sanding Acrylic Urethane Sealer Designed to create a uniform surface for all topcoats except lacquers. Non-sanding, single-coat sealer with excellent solvent resistance and color holdout. Can be used as a barrier coat over problem areas or substrates. RS-776 can also be tinted up to 5% with toner or primer tints to improve topcoat hiding. RS-776 Grey RS-776-B Black RS-776-W White (RS-776 Grey available in quarts) Activator: Normal RS-777 Slow RS-778 (Also available in 8oz.) Pre-Treatment Primers Tek-Elite 2.1 V.O.C. Epoxy Primer/Sealer A two-component, 100% epoxy primer with good film build and exceptional anti-corrosion properties for DTM applications. It has excellent adhesion to properly sanded and cleaned bare metals, including aluminum. MRS-78 can be sanded, when needed, and can be intermixed to achieve various shades of grey. MRS-78 Grey MRS-78-B Black MRS-78-W White (Also available in quarts) Featured Item! Activator: MRS-79-Q (Also available in 8oz.) Epoxy Primer A fast-drying epoxy with excellent corrosion resistance and adhesion to a variety of properly prepared metals and some automotive plastics. It can be directly topcoated, wet-on-wet, with any topcoat system. Activator: RS-781 RS-781-Q RS-780 Grey RS-788 Black RS-789 White (Also available in quarts) Self Etching Primer/Filler An acid-based, etching primer designed to optimize adhesion to bare metal substrates and provide a corrosion resistant barrier between substrate and coatings. It is ideal for use on properly cleaned and sanded steel, galvanized and aluminum. Do not apply polyester fillers directly over this primer. Catalyst/Reducer: RS-787 RS-787-Q RS-786 RS-786-Q Universal 1K Self Etch Primer A smooth, fast-drying, one-component primer that produces the ultimate adhesion on bare metal, galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cured paint, body filler and plastics. It dries quickly and works with mig or spot welders. Reduces weld splatter and burn-away when welding. RS-510 Grey 20oz. Aerosol RS-512 Red Oxide 16oz. Aerosol Fill-N-Flex Primer Fast-drying sandable primer for all types of flexible and rigid body parts. Aerosol RS-566 Black 16oz. Aerosol 1K Acid Etch Primer A premium one-component, self-etch primer for use on bare metal parts. It contains acid and has exceptional adhesion to all bare metal substrates. Must be topcoated with another primer before topcoating with polyester-based coatings or fillers. RS-517 Grey 20oz. Aerosol High Build Primer Surfacer Premium acrylic, high-build primer for use on plastic and metals parts. Great for spot repairs and easy to sand, wet or dry. No clean up, easy to use and can be basecoat painted 20 minutes after application. RS-524 Grey 20oz. Aerosol Select Shade Dual Prime Dual purpose high build specialty coating designed for priming and surfacing of metal and plastic parts. This primer helps prevent rust and seals out moisture while providing a base for topcoating. RS-570 series boasts excellent flexibilty and adhesion so it can be applied on both flexible and rigid parts. Select Shade dries fast, and has excellent build and is easy to sand. 13 Primers 2.1 V.O.C. Plastic Werkes Plastic Sealer MRS-7301 Plastic Primer Sealer is a 1K primer sealer formulated to be applied to clean, unsanded plastics, especially polyolefin plastics (TPO, TEO and PP). It increases productivity by eliminating the sanding step for raw, unprimed plastic parts. Clean the surface with MRS-7300 Plastic Blast, then apply MRS-7301 Plastic Seal Primer Sealer. Topcoat 60 minutes after MRS-7301 application. MRS-7301 MRS-7301-Q MRS-7301B MRS-7301B-Q Grey Grey Black Black RTS Primer Tints Very high strength universal primer tints for lacquer, acrylic, epoxy and urethane primers. High pigment concentration moves primer color much faster than basecoat tint colors. Using primer tints will not change primer performance characteristics when used properly. 14 Additives Basecoat Activator Basecoat Activator can be used in various paint manufacturer s basecoats to increase durability, improve intercoat adhesion and increase gloss holdout. Basecoat Activator should always be used in the basecoat when a fast, rapid cure activator is used in the clearcoat. MRS-122-Q MRS-122-P 1 Pint Moisture Scavenger Moisture Scavenger is a clearcoat additive used during high-temperature/high-humidity conditions. Use two capfulls (.75oz.) per sprayable quart to eliminate blushing, die-back and solvent pop. Absorbs moisture and allows clearcoat to flow and level better during hot/humid conditions. MRS-151 4oz. Color Blender Color Blender is a unique blend of resin and solvents that can be used as a basecoat blender, as well as a variety of other applications. Can also be used as a wet-bed sealer, cut-in clear in areas not exposed to sunlight, mid-coat clear for tri-coats and lock-down clear for graphics and metallic colors. Compatible with most basecoat systems and can be reduced with standard and reactive type reducers. MRT-500 MRT-500-Q Universal Flex Agent Universal Flex Agent for acrylic lacquer or enamel. Eliminates paint cracking on urethane or other flexible parts. The specialized formula will not discolor paint. Works in two component urethane clears. RS Pint Super Kick A high-potency accelerator designed for use in catalyzed urethane primers and clearcoats. Super Kick is especially helpful in speeding up the cure of urethane coatings in colder shop environments. It effectively reduces sand and buff times to substantially increase productivity. Super Kick should be added to catalyzed coatings only. RS Pint Top Gun Accelerator Designed for use in all two-component urethane finishes. It is designed to be added to each new can of isocyanate activator. The activator should then be mixed according to manufacturer s instructions with the appropriate clearcoat or primer. Has no effect on shelf life of activators and has very little effect on the pot life of ready-to-spray primers or clearcoats. This eliminates the need to add accelerator each time you mix paint. Speeds up cure-through times by percent. RS oz. Fisheye & Crater Eliminator A universal fisheye eliminator that works in all acrylic or polyurethane topcoat finishes. Helps to eliminate annoying surface craters or other surface imperfections for a clean OEM finish. It is silicone free and will not contaminate paint guns or paint gun washers. MRS-4200 MRS-4200-Q High Sheen Hot Rod Black 2K Acrylic Urethane This is a 2.8 V.O.C. acrylic urethane developed for restoration work, coating frames, engine compartments, exterior panels and other surfaces that require a black satin finish.
