The paper is manufactured under the strict ISO14001 environmental management system, is made carbon neutral, and carries the internationally recognised EU Eco-label.
3 Introduction A Toyota Care Service Plan is designed to extend the life of your vehicle, maximising the performance and safety while offering the convenience of tailored servicing. Toyota Service Plans allow you to purchase servicing in advance, locking in your service costs and protecting you from inflation. Toyota has removed customer uncertainty about the future costs of servicing and includes Toyota Care Service Advantage* with new Toyota vehicles sold via our Authorised Toyota Network. For more information about the Toyota Care Service Advantage package, please refer to your Toyota Care Service Advantage booklet located in your Owner s Manual Wallet, visit your local Toyota store or call 0800 TOYOTA ( ). Toyota Care Service Plan Coverage Toyota produce recommended service schedules for all their vehicles which outline the items that need to be inspected, adjusted or replaced at each service interval (refer Servicing Your Vehicle on page 5). Toyota Service Plans cover parts and labour costs related to Toyota s service schedules. Scheduled Service Plan A Scheduled Service Plan covers: Labour costs for inspect, adjust and replacement items. Genuine Parts costs for replacement items (only). Optional items (if tyres or WOF have been purchased with this Service Plan): Warrant of Fitness inspections (as required by law, the at 36 months then yearly thereafter). Replacement tyres will be of original manufacturers If you wish to upgrade the tyre the difference in price will be at your cost. Full Maintenance Service Plan A Full Maintenance Service Plan covers: Labour costs for inspect, adjust and replacement items. Genuine Parts costs for inspect and replacement items. Parts and labour costs for any nonscheduled service/maintenance items at any stage within the period of cover (at your Toyota store discretion). Optional items (if tyres or WOF have been purchased with this Service Plan): Warrant of Fitness inspections (maximum of two per year or as required by law until contract expiry). Replacement tyres will be of original manufacturers If you wish to upgrade the tyre the difference in price will be at your cost. 1

5 Service Plan Exclusions The following items are excluded from the Toyota Care Service Plan: Any repair that is caused by collision, e, theft, contamination, sand, salt, stone, chemicals, negligence (such as the driver ignoring gauges, lights or signals), abuse, improper or prohibitive use, racing or other competition or alteration of the manufacturer s (such as the after-market of turbo chargers or LPG/CNG equipment). Any repair which has been caused by the failure of a non-genuine part. Repairs not carried out by an Authorised Toyota Store or Service Agent. Vehicles weighing more than 3500kg gross weight. Any repair resulting from the vehicle not being maintained in the manner in Toyota s recommended service schedule. The repair to any item or part not listed in Toyota s recommended service schedule. Any repair or replacement of parts covered under the New Vehicle or Parts warranty policy or covered by a vehicle insurance policy. Any repairs to vehicles used as police or emergency vehicles. Any repairs resulting from extreme or arduous use, such as, but not limited to, those experienced in the mining industry or consistent off -road use. 3
6 We believe that if you can dream it, you can do it. Your Obligations & Responsibilities For your Toyota Care Service Plan to remain valid you should: 1. Have your vehicle serviced regularly following the recommended service schedule. You must also be able to demonstrate that your vehicle has been serviced in accordance with these recommendations. 2. Ensure that the vehicle manufacturer s genuine parts are used in any repair or service to your vehicle. 3. In the event of a failure take all reasonable means to protect your vehicle from further damage. 4. Ensure that your vehicle is repaired and serviced by an Authorised Toyota Store or Service Agent in the event of a failure. An Authorised Toyota Store or Service Agent is in the best position to do this, and removes any obligation for you to produce parts/service records or receipts in the event of a claim.
7 Servicing Your Vehicle New Toyota vehicles must generally be serviced every 15,000km or 12mths 1 (except some Toyota diesel vehicles which require additional intermediate servicing every 7,500km or 6mths 1 ) as part of their standard scheduled service. However more frequent servicing may be required for older vehicles (eg used imported vehicles) or any vehicles operating in extreme operating conditions or high usage situations. Please discuss the service schedule requirements for your vehicle with: Your local Toyota store Visit Call 0800 TOYOTA ( ) Transfers and Cancellations Contract Transfer While you are the current registered owner of the vehicle, should you decide to sell, the unused portion of your Toyota Care Service Plan is transferable to the new owner. To transfer the Service Plan please complete the Change of Ownership Advice form (refer to page 9 and 11) and send to us. Alternatively you may contact your Toyota store or call us on 0800 TOYOTA ( ) and we will update the ownership details. Contract Cancellation Your Toyota Care Service Plan contract can also be cancelled at any time. If you still own the vehicle and have purchased the Service Plan you will receive a refund of the unused portion of the Service Plan less administration costs. Contract Termination Important: The Service Plan will expire upon completion of the service on the Extra Care Contract document or when no claim has been lodged against the contract for an 18-month period. If for any reason you believe the period between services may extend beyond the 18-month period, you must advise your Toyota store before this expiry period. They will contact Toyota New Zealand, who will make the appropriate changes to your Service Plan so you can enjoy the full the plan is designed to provide. 1 Whichever occurs under normal operating conditions 5
