Phase consists of 100-hour or 1 calendar months, whichever occurs first, interval inspection items. B. Inspection items are listed in order of the zone in which the inspection is to be performed. A descriptive statement of the inspection requirement and the Item Code Number for cross reference to section is provided. In many instances, tasks define more specifically the scope and extent of each required inspection. These tasks are printed in the individual chapters of this manual. C. The right portion of each page provides room for the mechanic s and inspector s initials and remarks. These pages may be reproduced as a checklist for use when performing this inspection phase.. General Inspection Criteria A. During accomplishment of each of the specific inspection tasks within this phase, additional general inspections of the surrounding areas should be performed while access is available. These general inspections are intended to detect obvious conditions which may warrant further action. B. If a component or system is disturbed (due to maintenance being performed) after completion of an initially required task, then that specific task must be re-confirmed after completion of any maintenance before returning the system or component to service. C. Conduct a preflight inspection upon completion of this inspection phase to ensure all required items are properly serviced. Refer to the Approved Airplane Flight Manual. Phase D consists of items to be inspected at 600 hours or 4 calendar months, whichever occurs first. This special phase is a combination of Phases 4, 5 and 6 provided for the convenience of those operators performing the three phases at the same time. B. Inspection items are given in the order of the zone in which the inspection is to be completed. A general description of the inspection required and the Item Code Number for cross-reference to section are shown. Frequently, tasks give more information about each required inspection. These tasks are printed in the individual chapters of this manual. C. The right portion of each page gives space for the mechanic's and inspector's initials and remarks. A copy of these pages can be used as a checklist when these inspections are completed.. General Inspection Criteria A. Whileeachofthespecified inspection tasks in this section is done, more general inspections of the adjacent areas must be done while access is available. These general inspections are used to find apparent conditions which may need more maintenance. B. If a component or system is changed after a required task has been completed, then that specified task must be done again to make sure it is correct before the system or component is returned to service.
