(Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 57, Wing Tips - Maintenance Practices.) B. Remove all of the RTV sealant that is around the 1050C Transducer. C. Remove the 1050C Transducer from the inner surface of the leading edge. D. Put the thermal conductive grease on the face of the 1050C Transducer and the area on the wing that the transducer will contact. E. Install the 1050C Transducer in the wing leading edge. F. Install the wing tip. (Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 57, Wing Tips - Maintenance Practices.) CAUTION: When a hydraulic line or component is disconnected, plug the line and/or fitting immediately. This will prevent the contamination of the system and will reduce the possibility of a system malfunction. 5. Remove the brake accumulator. (Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 32, Hydraulic Pack Assembly And Accumulator - Maintenance Practices.) NOTE: There is a permanent fitting on the pneumatic line for the hydraulic accumulator. The accumulator removal requires the permanent fitting to be held with a wrench and the accumulator spun off of the fitting. 6. Remove hydraulic lines that follow: (Refer Cessna Engineering Drawing ) Tube Assembly Page 4

NOTE: The removal and installation procedures are the same for the left and right wings. A. Remove the wing ram air hose from the left and right wings. B. Remove the bleed air line from the piccolo tube. (Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 30, Airfoil Anti-Ice - Maintenance Practices.) C. Remove any RTV sealant that is around the piccolo tube. D. Remove and keep two MS Screws from the inboard end of the piccolo tube. E. Gently pull the piccolo tube from the wing leading edge. NOTE: Look at the (left) or (right) Piccolo Tubes to determine if the end plug has been installed. If the Plug has not been installed remove the plugs from the removed piccolo tubes and install the plugs in the (left) or (right) Piccolo Tubes with Loctite 592 Adhesive. F. Install the (left) or (right) Piccolo Tube in the leading edge. NOTE: There are seven Teflon spacers that hold the piccolo tube in position. Do not attempt to force the piccolo tube into the leading edge. The piccolo tube should route through the spacers when less than moderate force is applied. If a Teflon spacer is broken or damaged the leading edge will have to be removed from the airplane and disassembled to replace the Teflon spacer. G. Install two MS Screws that were kept to hold the inboard end piccolo tube into position. H. Apply a fillet seal to the inboard end of the piccolo tube and MS Screws with RTV 106 sealant. I. Install the bleed air line that was removed. (Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 30, Airfoil Anti-Ice - Maintenance Practices.) 8. Install the hydraulic lines that were removed. (Refer the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 20, Tubing, Hose And Fittings - Maintenance Practices and Cessna Engineering Drawing ) 9. Install the brake accumulator. (Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 32, Hydraulic Pack Assembly And Accumulator - Maintenance Practices.) 10. Install the F Insulation on the wing anti-ice lines. (Refer to Cessna Engineering Drawing ) 11. Remove the warning tags and connect external power to the airplane. 12. Bleed the main landing gear brakes. CAUTION: Do not attempt to back flush or back bleed the brake hydraulic system. Microscopic contamination from the brakes may cause contamination or a malfunction of the anti-skid servo valve. A. Make sure that the BRAKE SYSTEM and SKID CONTROL circuit breakers are disengaged. B. Service the brake accumulator. (Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 12, Brake Accumulator - Servicing.) Page 5

6 C. Service the brake system hydraulic reservoir, if necessary. (Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 12, Brake Reservoir - Servicing.) D. Install the brake bleed lines on the left and right brake assemblies on the highest bleed port of each brake. E. Insert the return hose in to the brake system hydraulic reservoir. F. Release the parking brake, if engaged. G. Apply external power to the airplane. H. Make sure that the ANTI-SKID switch is in the OFF position. I. Engage the BRAKE SYSTEM circuit breaker. J. Look for hydraulic leaks on the lines that were removed. (1) Let the accumulator charge fully. (2) Press the toe of both rudder pedals to apply the left and right brakes and look for leaks around the removed hydraulic lines. (3) Repair any leaks that were found. K. Service the brake system hydraulic reservoir, if necessary. (Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 12, Brake Reservoir - Servicing.) NOTE: The brake reservoir must have the proper amount of hydraulic fluid at all times while completing the brake bleeding procedure. If the brake system reservoir hydraulic fluid becomes low, stop the brake bleeding procedure to service the reservoir and start the procedure again from Step 12L. L. Press the toe of the left rudder pedal fully and hold for two minutes (minimum). NOTE: If the toe of the rudder pedal is released for any reason the two minutes must be started over. M. Release the toe of the left rudder pedal. N. Press the toe of the right rudder pedal fully and hold for two minutes (minimum).
