11 Always shows its best side. The distinctive new design. No matter how you look at it, the Caddy Trendline impresses with sharp, precise and dynamic lines, and a whole host of distinctive features. In particular its new rear with a spoiler, as well as the new sportier design at the front, have been perfected. Newly designed, striking headlights and clear contouring of the tail lights, available with optional tinting (fig. 01), give the vehicle a very special touch of class. Nevertheless, the Caddy Trendline remains true to itself: a superbly versatile and practical vehicle for the whole family.

12 Plenty of space to relax. A cockpit of the highest quality. Please take a seat. Inside you will find up to seven extremely comfortable seats and a new high-quality finish on the cockpit with the newly designed leather-covered multifunction steering wheel available on request. Of course, there are also several cup holders and practical storage spaces, for instance in the doors and the central console. In addition, a spacious roof shelf (fig. 01) is located directly above the driver and passenger seats, where it is possible to store larger objects.

13 Up for new challenges every day. The interior with folding, double-folding and removable seats. Workdays, Sundays, holidays. Every day is different. That is why the seats in the second seating row of the Caddy can be easily folded, double-folded or, if necessary, removed (fig ). This creates the space needed for big shopping trips, and transporting small furniture. The low loading sill height and the even load surface make loading and unloading as easy as possible

14 The latest standards in safety. The extensive technology package for the Caddy Trendline. To ensure that every adventure ends as stress-free as it begins, the Caddy is equipped with various safety systems, which are activated in critical situations as a preventative measure. New to the onboard standard equipment is the Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. Following an accident, the vehicle begins a phased braking action down to 10 km/h in order to prevent secondary collisions. Should an impact nonetheless result, for the first time as standard starting from the Trendline equipment line, head airbags will provide optimal protection to passengers in the outer seats of the second seating row. Electronic Stabilisation Programme. It prevents under- or over-steering via targeted braking of individual wheels. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Prevents wheel block and, thus, maintains manoeuvrability. Electronic Differential Lock (EDL). Distri butes the engine s torque to the tyres without slippage. Multi-Collision Braking (MCB) System. Triggers braking after a collision, with the aim of preventing secondary collisions. The Automatic Post-Collision Braking System activates when two independent sensors detect an accident. After a short delay, the vehicle begins a phased braking action down to 10 km/h, during which the driver can take over at any time. Traction control system (TCS). Prevents wheelspin. Seat belt warning. If their seatbelts are not fastened, the seatbelt warning reminds the driver and, for the first time, the front passenger to fasten their belts with a visual warning when the engine is started, and an acoustic warning after setting off. Airbags. The Caddy Trendline and Alltrack comes with driver and front passenger airbags as standard, and side/head airbags too. As standard with the Trendline equipment line and higher, head airbags protect rear passengers in the outer seats of the second seating row in the event of a side-on collision.

15 Comfort 2.0 the new driver assistance systems. A relaxing drive, every time. Park Distance Control. Emits audible warnings when obstacles are detected behind the vehicle when parking, and also provides a visual display of the vehicle s distance from the obstacles. Rear View reversing camera. Simplifies parking by showing a limited view of the area behind the vehicle on the display of the radio. Additional static guidelines facilitate the parking process. The reversing camera is only available in combination with the tailgate. Driver Alert System. Uses visual and acoustic warning signals to recommend that the driver takes a break as soon as it registers driving behaviour that indicates tiredness. Brake assist system. Registers the speed at which the brake pedal is pressed. During a reflexive or emergency braking action, it ensures that full brake pressure is built up more quickly. Daytime running lights. Switch on automatically when the ignition is activated and lower the risk of an accident in daylight. Hill Start Assist. Prevents the vehicle from rolling back on inclines and makes handling easier when starting up on uphill slopes. Fog lights with integrated static cornering light. Ensure optimal visibility in poor weather conditions. The headlight nearest to the corner illuminates the roadside when turning. The innovative optional Park Assist programme takes all the stress out of parallel parking by automatically sensing parking spots as you drive and then manoeuvring your car into the bay automatically. All you need to do is take your hands off the steering-wheel, control the accelerator and brake when necessary.

Power transmission to the front wheels is the task of the smooth-running 5-speed manual gearboxes. Selected engines can also be combined with the DSG dual clutch gearbox. 01 DSG dual clutch gearbox. Thanks to the intelligent gearshift system, the 6-speed gearbox changes fluidly to the next preselected gear at the optimum time. This results in ex cellent driving comfort without an interruption in power flow. The gears can also be changed at anytime with a light tap. The TDI engines. The fuel-efficient 2.0 l turbo diesel engines with common rail direct injection are available in four different performance levels. 18 The Caddy Maxi Trendline. Seven s company. The Caddy Maxi Trendline has space for anything, for anyone, to go anywhere. Space to be spontaneous. It is 47 cm longer than the short wheel base version. This is especially noticeable in the rear seats and load compartment of this 7-seater. For the passengers, this means convenient entry and exit through two extra-wide sliding doors (fig. 01), as well as ample head and leg room. At the same time, the load compartment offers 530 litres of space, so you ll never run short of packing space. The Caddy Maxi also comes with the option of a 6-speed DSG dual clutch gearbox that changes in perfect time for a smooth and comfortable drive.

19 The Caddy Alltrack. Ready when you are. The silver roof rails and door mirrors, privacy glass and tinted tail lights set the exceptional exterior of the Caddy Alltrack apart. Stand out from the crowd with the Quito alloy wheels. The highlights of the interior include the deluxe dash panel with Carbon Square Dark inserts, leather trims with nutmeg-coloured seams, chrome elements and airconditioning. The Composition Media radio system delivers the perfect soundtrack for every expedition.

20 Space for everything. Seven seats. Or up to 3,030 litres load volume. For us, flexible was never flexible enough. The Caddy Trendline and Alltrack both come standard as a 5-seater, with an optional 7-seater package, and the Caddy Maxi Trendline comes standard as a 7-seater. The rear seats in the Caddy can be folded, and completely removed sometimes even independently of each other. The single seats in the second seating row can even be double-folded if necessary. This allows the interior to be adapted whichever way your imagination conjures up no matter how wild this may be. Seats Seats Seats As a 2-seater, the Caddy boasts an impressive 3,030 l loading space volume and even more when the front passenger seat is folded down. Ideal for lots of luggage. The second row of seats is divided in a ratio of ⅔ and ⅓. This provides plenty of individually customisable usage possibilities. Remove the 3rd seat in the second row of seats for extra packing space.

21 Infotainment. The Caddy has been designed as a space where drivers will love to spend their time. The latest generation of high-quality radio systems impress with their easy control and good sound. 01 Composition Colour radio system. The system consists of a 12.7 cm (5 inch) TFT colour display, an MP3- and WMA-compatible CD drive, a 4 x 20 Watt output with six loudspeakers, an SD-card slot, and AUX-IN interface, and a dual tuner with phase diversity for optimal radio reception. Bluetooth connection for mobile phones is a standard feature. TL Composition Media radio system. The system consists of a 16.5 cm (6.33 inch) TFT colour display, a touchscreen with proximity sensor, an MP3- and WMA-compatible CD drive, a 4 x 20 Watt output with six loudspeakers, a dual tuner with phase diversity for optimal radio reception, an SD-card slot, an AUX-IN interface, USB interface (ipad, ipod and iphone capable), and a Bluetooth connection for mobile phones. 03 Leather-covered multifunction steering wheel. It gives you a good grip and is extremely user-friendly. The radio, a mobile phone or the cruise control can be controlled using the buttons. Plus multifunction display (not illustrated). In addition to the functions of the multifunction display, it can be used to regulate the optional auxiliary coolant heater, and to adjust the optional Light and Sight package Comfort mobile phone interface. The special compartment for your mobile phone has a wireless external aerial connection to optimise your mobile phone reception. Charging the phone is straightforward too: The cellphone simply has to be connected to the USB interface (ipad, ipod and iphone capable) which is also located in the compartment. Mobile phone interface (not illustrated). A wireless Bluetooth interface enables you to make phone calls safely and conveniently during the journey using a microphone and the vehicle loudspeakers. Depending on the equipment, it can be controlled via the 04 Plus multifunction display or the touchscreen display of the radio system.

24 Exterior. 01/03 01 Privacy glass. Tinted side and rear windows are available for the passenger compartment. They screen the interior from view, and provide excellent protection from solar radiation. AL 03 Sliding window. With handles for easy operation. 02 Towbar preparation (not illustrated). This consists of a trailer detection control unit complete with wiring, and includes trailer stabilisation. A towbar can therefore easily be retrofitted at any time Detachable towbar. This lockable towbar can be detached when not in use. This makes manoeuvring easier, especially when parking in small spaces. Like the fixed towbar, it is designed for trailer loads of 660 kg (unbraked) to 1,500 kg (braked), and is also fitted with trailer stabilisation. 05 Bi-Xenon headlights. The Bi-Xenon headlights produce both high and low beams, and illuminate the roadway significantly better than conventional halogen headlights. They also stand out due to their low energy consumption. Only available in conjunction with tinted tail lights. 05

25 06 06 Tinted tail lights. They add a distinctive flair, and lend the new tailgate a bold character. Only available in conjunction with Bi-Xenon headlights Tailgate with window. The smooth-functioning tailgate can be opened with one hand. When open, it offers protection from rain and sunshine during loading and unloading. A third brake light is integrated into the spoiler. The tailgate is always equipped with a soft touch opening system. 08 Rear wing doors with windows. The roof-height rear wing doors are divided in a ratio of ⅔ to ⅓, and have a maximum opening angle of 180 degrees. They can be separately fixed in an open position to allow longer goods to be transported, if necessary. Please bear in mind when ordering rear wing doors, the number plate light holder is made of black plastic.

26 Interior and comfort. 01 New folding table for rear seats. Practical on long-distance journeys: The fold-up tables in the backrests of the front seats provide passengers in the second seating row with an easy to clean surface, and an integrated cupholder. AL Leather trims. The pleasant feel of the leather trim controls add to the vehicle comfort, and raise the interior to a whole new level. The leather trim equipment includes the gear lever knob and the handbrake lever, as well as the gaiter. It can be combined with either the optional leather steering wheel or the optional leather-covered multifunction steering wheel.

27 V socket in compartment, front. A 12 V socket is integrated into the storage compartment on the dash panel, e. g. for mobile phones or notebooks. 12 V plug in central console (not illustrated). The socket is located in the easily accessible front area of the central console. 12 V socket in load space (not illustrated). For portable cooler boxes and larger 12 V devices, there is also a socket in the load space Climatic airconditioning. The semi-automatic airconditioning has an infinite adjustment, so that a pleasant interior temperature can be ensured at all times. Thanks to ergonomic buttons and knobs, the temperature in degrees, air distribution, and fan speed can be easily regulated while driving Electric windows. The flip switches are comfortably located within easy reach in the armrest on the door interiors, and have a comfort switch with jamming protector. Along with the electric exterior mirrors, these make up the Electric package. 06 Light and Sight package. Sensors dim the rear-view mirror automatically when the lights of the vehicle behind are too bright, and regulate the intervals of the windscreen wipers during rain. The automatic driving light control with daytime running lights switches the headlights on automatically when it starts to get dark. The package also features the manual coming home and leaving home functions.

28 Soft touch opening system. The tailgate is opened effortlessly using a button on the underside of the number plate light holder. 08 Lashing rings. There are four lashing rings in the load compartment of the Caddy and six in the Caddy Maxi to safely secure loads. If you choose the optional third seating row for the Caddy with the short wheelbase, the number of available lashing rings in the load space is limited to two.
