3 Maxi rooms expand the popular Porkka step in range 24 to 45 cubic meters, ideal for operators requiring larger cold storage requirements. Manufactured from high quality materials and components, Porkka Maxi rooms are quick and easy to erect and are supplied in flat-pack format. Maxi Room general features Porkka Maxi rooms are manufactured using the latest CFC/HCFC free polyurethane insulated panels which are equipped with male and female joints and also connected by eccentric action cam-locks for excellent all round thermal performance. The Porkka Maxi range can be supplied as room only with the option of cantilevered wall mounted shelving, certain models can also be equipped with Porkka s own manufactured cooling units which are equipped with high/low temperature alarm and can be connected via a volt free relay to a building management system. The Porkka controller is also equipped with sophisticated HACCP features, to meet more stringent temperature monitoring regulations when required.

4 Quality materials and design features Porkka Maxi panel s visible surfaces are coated with food safe, white polyester, which is scratch resistant for durable long life cycle, there is a choice of insulation thickness being 80 or 100mm for excellent thermal efficiency. Doors are semi-rebated and supplied with heavy duty hinges and a lockable door handle, which is equipped with an emergency entrapment release that also overrides the lock at all times. Thresholds and door surrounds are manufactured from high quality stainless steel grade AISI 304, freezer door are fitted with heater to prevent condensation or icing problems. Doors are also supplied pre-mounted within a panel for ease of assemble and to reduce installation time in the field. Floors, when supplied are insulated and are manufactured with a tough durable plywood top which is coated with a non-slip glass fibre resin. Maximum load limits for standard floors are 40Kn/m2 or 1,0 Kn per 40mm castor. If higher loads are required a heavy-duty version can be supplied with thicker plywood and a non-slip stainless steel surface. If shelving is selected then we would supply our newly designed hygienic shelving system, which allows the operator to wash individual shelves in a commercial dishwasher.

6 Refrigeration unit Maxi-rooms can be equipped either with Porkka Step-in room units. In this case 2 units are needed to cover to need of cooling capacity. Please refer to your Step-in room price list. All the Maxi C- and M-rooms does require 2 pcs of C1240 (or alternatively M1240) units. F-models can be equipped with a pair of F1541-unit. Alarm functions The Porkka temperature display is supplied with a built-in high/low temperature alarm which is both audible and visual and can also be connected to a building management system by means of a volt free connection. Air-cooled condenser dust filter The air inlet to the condenser is on the lower part of the refrigeration unit, ensuring the coolest air is always used helping to reduce running costs and extending the service life of the unit. The dust filter behind the air grill is easy to clean or replace. The controller provides information on when the filter requires cleaning or changing. 7 Door The door has clear opening of 900 x 1940 mm as standard. In a case of a floorless coldroom, the floor element is replaced by insulated plinth. This will increase the height of the door clear opening to 2020 mm. Freezer room door has a frame heater as standard. The location of the door can be adjusted, even during installation. As shown below, the location can be either on the short or long wall and can be moved in increments of 300 mm. The door can be hung on installation to open either left or right and can be changed at some point in the future. 8 Shelving Maxi rooms can be equipped with MSS-shelving system. The lay-out will be based to your needs. Standard set-up consist of 4-tier shelving, depth 488 mm (398 mm available too). The shelves are easy to clean and made of food approved ABS-plastics (or stainless steel as an option). Unit Type C1240 / 80 M1240 / 80 F1541 / 100 C1240 / 80CC M1240 / 80CC F1541 / 100CC C1240 / 80RHDS M1240 / 80RHDS F1541 / 100RHDS Porkka Remote Heat Disposal System (RHDS ) The RHDS system is similar to the standard Porkka unit with the addition of a liquid condenser, header tank and pump. Water pipes are then connected from the remote condenser to the refrigeration unit. After connecting the system it is filled with a water glycol solution that will operate in both summer and winter conditions. The multi-fix condenser can be positioned either within an area that will benefit from heat input or externally. The unit can be floor or wall mounted. In addition the equipment benefits the environment by utilising a very small refrigerant charge and reducing running costs.
