Set the device s Mdbus RTU serial settings (i.e. baud rate, parity, stp bits) and Mdbus Nde-ID fr each f the devices that will be cnnected t PrtNde FPC-N34 r FPC-N35. (Sectin 2.2) 3. Select a stred cnfiguratin and set field prtcl MAC address/nde-id/device Instance, and baud rate. (Sectin 2.3) 4. Cnnect PrtNde s 6 pin RS-485 cnnectr t the Mdbus RS-485 netwrk that is cnnected t each f the devices. (Sectin 3.2) 5. Cnnect PrtNde FPC-N34 s 3 pin RS-485 prt t the Field Prtcl cabling, r cnnect PrtNde FPC-N35 s 2 pin LnWrks prt t the Field Prtcl cabling. (Sectin 0) 6. Cnnect Pwer t PrtNde s 6 pin cnnectr. (Sectin 3.5) 7. BACnet/IP r Mdbus TCP/IP (FPC-N34): Use the PrtNde s embedded tl which is accessed with a brwser, referred t in this manual as the Web Cnfiguratr, t change the IP address. N changes t the cnfiguratin file are necessary. (Sectin 4) 8. LnWrks (FPC-N35): The PrtNde must be cmmissined n the LnWrks Netwrk. This needs t be dne by the LnWrks administratr using a LnWrks Cmmissining tl. (Sectin 6)

7 Harsc Industrial Pattersn-Kelley s PrtNde Startup Guide Page 7 f 45 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 PrtNde Gateway PrtNde is an external, high perfrmance Building Autmatin multi-prtcl gateway that has been preprgrammed fr Harsc Industrial Pattersn-Kelley s prducts (hereafter called device ) t varius building autmatin prtcls. These prtcls include BACnet 1 MS/TP, BACnet/IP, Metasys 2 N2 by JCI, Mdbus TCP/IP, and LnWrks 3. Cnfiguratins fr the varius prtcls are stred within the PrtNde and are selectable via DIP switches fr fast and easy installatin. It is nt necessary t dwnlad any cnfiguratin files t supprt the required applicatins. Figure 2 specifies the device serial prt settings required t cmmunicate with the PrtNde. The Mdbus Nde-ID s need t be uniquely assigned, starting with a value f 1 fr the first device. Mdbus Nde-ID values fr additinal devices must be sequential (2, 3, 4, ). Up t 16 ENVI devices can be cnnected t the PrtNde with Nde-ID values ranging frm 1 t 16. (See Appendix B.1) One Lve Cntrller can be cnnected t the PrtNde; the Mdbus Nde-ID value must be set t 1.

Set the BACnet MS/TP MAC addresses f the PrtNde t a value between 1 t 127 (MAC Master Addresses); this is s that the BMS Frnt End can find the PrtNde via BACnet aut discvery. Nte: Never set a BACnet MS/TP MAC Address frm 128 t 255. Addresses frm 128 t 255 are Slave Addresses and can nt be discvered by BMS Frnt Ends that supprt aut discvery f BACnet MS/TP devices. Set DIP switches A0 A7 t assign MAC Address fr BACnet MS/TP fr the PrtNde FPC-N34. Please refer t Appendix D.1 fr the cmplete range f MAC Addresses and DIP switch settings.
