Technical Series Regulations 1.6 Minimum weights and ballast will be changed and supplemented as follows: It is the Entrant s responsibility to ensure that at all times during the event the mandatory minimum combined weight of the vehicle with empty fuel tank, driver equalisation weight and the driver (together with all driver equipment) is reached. At no time during an event is the vehicle weight permitted to be less than the mandatory minimum weight. The mandatory combined minimum vehicle and driver weight (together with all driver equipment and equalisation weight) is 1312kg. 2 Ballast The installation of ballast is permitted. Only original Porsche ballast components must be used. These must be installed in the provided holders at the position of the passenger s seat in accordance with the illustration in Attachment 3. The ballast weights are identified by spare part numbers (part numbers: / / or / / ). Base plate auxiliary weight In addition to the original part, base plates with part numbers A and B are permitted to be used. If the base plate does not contain the necessary holes for the mounting positions as indicated in this Regulations Bulletin, they can be added after consultation with the Technical Scrutineers. The mounting holes can only be added in the necessary positions to satisfy the requirements of this Regulations Bulletin. Minimum vehicle weight [ ] The minimum weight of a vehicle is 1232kg. The minimum weight of a vehicle consists of: the weight of the vehicle with empty fuel tank; the weight of the inboard camera (surveillance camera and/or FOM TV camera), the radio system assigned by the Series Organiser or the weight of the respective substitute ballast; the installed additional weights (excluding driver equalisation weight). Minimum driver weight The minimum driver weight is 80kg. The minimum driver weight consists of: the driver; the personal equipment of the driver as it is in the vehicle at the time when the weighing is ordered; the driver equalisation weight if applicable. 3 It is the driver s responsibility to ensure that the sum of the installed equalisation weight plus his/her actual weight (including the parts of his/her personal equipment in the vehicle at the time of the order to weigh the vehicle) is reached at all times. 2.5 Steering (steering wheel/hub extension) [ ] Hub extensions may only be used after prior written individual approval of the Series Organiser. Furthermore, the parts used must be original Porsche parts. Only one hub extension providing a 20mm extension that is of the original Porsche Part number is allowed. [ ] 2.6 Wheel suspension Anti-roll bars [ ] Other shims or methods for axial clearance compensation must not be used. However, the overall axial clearance must not be less than 2 mm referenced to each anti-roll bar. The overall axial clearance must not be less than 0,2 mm. 4 Part 3: Attachments/Drawings Attachment 2 Sticker Regulations 2018 The Stewards notify all competitors of the following: Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Regulations 2018 Appendix 2 Sticker Regulations The Series Organiser offers the following sticker positions to the competitors for their use: 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22 & 23. As stated in article 4, Porsche AG makes these positions available, but reserves the right to revoke their availability, subject to a minimum of 4 weeks notice. Specific Technical Regulations [ ] 2.7 Wheels (flange + rim) and tyres Tyre marking Throughout these regulations any reference to the marking of tyres includes the procedure of electronically scanning and recording the individual bar codes of tyres. At each event, and for the duration of each event, a maximum number of sets of slick tyres for the front axle and rear axle of each vehicle can be marked by the Technical scrutineers at a specific time as per the table shown below. This is valid for events with 1 as well as 2 classification rounds. The point of time for tyre marking and release is published in the Internal Event Schedule (e.g. tyre marking, slick tyres, tyre marking rain tyres, tyre pick-up). 7 Free practice For the free practice session, only slick tyres and rain tyres as shown in the table must be used. In addition to the rules below, specifically and only for the third round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the event of the GRAND PRIX DE MONACO, one additional set of new slick tyres may optionally be marked for free practice for every competitor. The set is only eligible to be used during the free practice session of this round and during all free practice sessions of the future events of the series, except for the last championship round of the Mexican Grand Prix. Qualifying and race Only the tyres marked for the relevant event are permitted to be used for the respective qualifying and race (slick and rain tyres). See table below. Only correspondingly marked tyres are permitted to be taken into the pit lane for qualifying and the race of the respective event. For the avoidance of doubt, slick tyres marked before free practice (where this is provided for) or used during free practice may not be brought into the pit lane for, or used during, qualifying or the race. 2.8 Bodywork and dimension [ ] Lightweight exterior: Carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic doors with sport-design rear-view mirrors Carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic rear engine lid with quick release fasteners Carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic adjustable rear wing (9 positions) of Porsche part number A (Only for the round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup at the event of the GRAND PRIX DE MONACO, shall the installation of the additionally reinforced rear wing of Porsche part number D be exclusively and solely allowed. Specific Technical Regulations 2.5 Steering (steering wheel / hub extension) Hub extensions may only be used a.er prior written individual approval of the Series Organiser.
