Parts that are hard to find No shortages of 2nd generation Boxster or Cayman parts have been reported. Certain N-rated tyre sizes and brands can be hard to find in some countries. Don t forget to ask about any repairs to the roof system since delivery. Properly inspect the fabric, as it s very expensive to replace. Ensure the stowage cover also opens and closes smoothly. Check sealing, water drains and condition of the roof s glass rear window (Boxster), as well as condition and alignment of the frame with the roof open and closed. There is an optional hard top available for the Boxster model range. If the sale includes the hard top, inspect its colour and condition, and check that all fittings are in good condition. When carrying out an exterior inspection, always check the ground around the car for any evidence of fluid leaks, oil, coolant, transmission oil and water. 4 That s got to hurt, but it looks like a promising Cayman project from this angle sadly, though, it doesn t look like a restorable Cayman from this side. A potential Boxster restoration project? From another angle, it still looks promising. This Boxster Spyder might seem restorable, but it will be expensive, and not very cost-effective, because of the resale price of roadworthy examples on the market although, being a Boxster Spyder, its rarity might make it viable one day. 50
