SERIES DESCRIPTION Vikg s Motor Speed Product Le Series 493 and 493 steel external pumps are available capacities up to 75 GPM. These pumps can be furnished directly connected to a 50HZ or 60 HZ motor. Series 493 is designed for vertical or horizontal flange mount stallations where space is at a premium. Series 493 is designed for foot type horizontal mountg. These pumps are built for contuous or termittent duty for such applications as filterg, circulatg, trans ferrg, or booster service general dustrial, petro chemical and other dustries. They are furnished as standard with mechanical seal construction to mimize liquid loss and for shaft protection. The thrust control provides micrometer adjustments for accurate rotor and shaft positiong to help you keep operatg with new-pump efficiency through years of heavy duty service. Sizes: GG - L493 For more compact horizontal mountg, the C face mounted Series 493 Heavy-Duty pump units all six sizes clude a combation motor C flange and square pump flange bracket with couplg connectg motor and pump. The three smaller units connect to a foot mounted motor, while the three larger units clude a foot type bracket to mount a flange type motor. Vertically Inle Mounted (IM Drive) Pump and motor vertically mounted to a flange mountg bracket with couplg. Sizes: GG - L493 Vikg s Series 493 pump le can be mounted either ver tically or horizontally to electric motors. Vertical le mounted unit described on this page comes complete with footless C flange mountg bracket and couplg between motor and pump. Direct Drive (D Drive) Pump and motor mounted on a base with couplg and couplg guard. Sizes: GG - L493 Series 493 units the GG, HJ and HL size (nomal ratg 0, 20, 30 GPM) are designed for high-speed, heavy-duty service. The pump is connected by a flexible couplg with guard directly to a 50 HZ or 60 HZ motor. Both pump and motor mount on a sturdy formed steel base. This makes a very compact, rugged unit for heavy-duty service, handlg many types of liquids up to 5,000 SSU (3,300 cst). NPSHR data is not available on the curve generator. NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head): The NPSH R (Net Positive Suction Head Required by the pump) is given the table below and applies for viscosities through 750 SSU. NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head vailable the system) must be greater than the NPSH R. For a complete explanation of NPSH, see pplication Data Sheet D-9.
