1 MS 10 PROPERTIES AND APPLICATION Spiral wound gaket are pecial emi-metallic gaket of great reilience, there fore they are very uitable for application featuring heavy operating condition. Spiral wound gaket are manufactured by pirally winding a V-haped metal trip and a trip of non-metallic filler material. The metal trip hold the filler, providing the gaket with mechanical reitance and reilience. Spiral wound gaket can be reinforced by an outer centering ring and/or inner retaining ring. The outer centering ring control the compreion and hold the gaket centrally within the bolt circle. The inner retaining ring increae the axial rigidity and reilience of the gaket. Spiral wound gaket hould alway be in contact with the flange and hould not protrude into the pipe or project from the flange. Spiral wound gaket can be ued for ealing flange joint, manhole and handhold cover, tube cover, boiler, heat exchanger, preure veel, pump, compreor and valve; in indutrie uch a petrochemical, pharmaceutical, hipbuilding, and food proceing, in power indutrie and nuclear power tation. They are ideal for team, oil, liquid, gae, acid, alkaline, variou organic medium and olvent. SHAPE AND CONSTRUCTION Spiral wound gaket are produced in everal tyle and combination of material to fit the mot tringent application. Spiral wound gaket are uually of circular hape, however we can produce them in other hape uch a: oval, rectangular, with round corner, etc. Our tandard production program comprie a range of piral wound gaket with inner diameter of 10 mm to 3000 mm and a nominal thickne of 3.2 mm, 4.5 mm and 6.5 mm. Spiral wound gaket of non-tandard dimenion and hape, and larger diameter are available on requet.
