13 How to Use Starter and Add-On Units Start a run of shelving with a Starter Unit, which consists of four posts and four shelves. Then attach Add-On unit that consists of two posts, four shelves and two S-Hooks per shelf. Add-On units can be attached end-to-end, in a T formation or at 90 angles. Starter Units are rated to support 1,200 lbs. Add-On units 1,000 lbs. See examples below of most popular configurations of starter and add-on units. For additional wire shelves, see page 118. 30 IRSG Shelving Warranty IRSG warrants that products supplied and manufactured by IRSG will be free from defects in material and workmanship at point they leave our facilities. After inspection, we guarantee to replace any shelf that is deemed defective for up to a minimum of one year, provided that it meets the stated warranty criteria below. If shelving is determined to be defective by IRSG, customers are entitled only to the replacement of the component. Under no circumstances will IRSG be liable for any claims including, but not limited to labor or subsequent damages. IRSG warrants Stainless steel and epoxy-coated (freezer grade) shelves against rust formation over more than six percent of the shelving surface up to the 1 th year to the original owner and the original installation. Standard epoxy shelving is warranted up to the fifth year under the same terms and conditions as Stainless and freezer grade shelving. Zinc-coated shelves are warranted for a period of three years against rust formation over more than six percent of the shelving surface to the original owner and the original installation in dry storage application and usage only. Chrome shelving is warranted for one year against rust formation over more than six percent of the shelving surface to the original owner and the original installation in dry storage application and usage only. IRSG shelving must be cleaned only with mild detergents and soft cloths. Using other cleaning agents, scrapers or brushes will void this warranty. Rupturing the coating or exposure to corrosive substances will also void these warranties. In the event of a warranty claim, IRSG s representatives will inspect the installation and cause of the failure and determine if a claim is valid. If a claim is allowed, returns or replacements including disassembly, reassembly becomes the responsibility of the initial owner. IRSG s warranties are applied on a pro-rated basis. This is the sole and exclusive warranty given by IRSG and is in lieu of and excludes all other warranties, express or implied, arising by operation of law or otherwise, including without limitation, merchantability or use for a particular purpose. This warranty does not extend to any loses or damages due to misuse, accident, abuse, neglect, normal wear and tear, use beyond load capacity, improper installation or application. No employee or agent of IRSG has any authority to make any representation or warranty which exceeds the above warranty
