2 WHAT DO YOU USE THE QUICK SELECTION CATALOGUE TO? The quick selection catalogue is designed to provide opportunity to quick and easy find the appropriate products for a given case. Once you have found an actual product and dimension, you may find additional details for engineering in the product's own data sheet. All the data sheets is available at There are also separate dimensioning programs for chilled beams and sound attenuators. WHAT DOES THE TABLES IN THE QUICK SELEC- TION CATALOGUE SAY? 4 USI The USI extract air terminal is intended for open installation. It is suitable for high air flow rates, and can thus be used as a central extraction unit in large rooms ideal in combination with VAV. 5 Inter Inter is used to simplify the installation of valves in lightweight ceilings (mineral wool). Inter is produced in galvanised steel. INSTALLATION Cut a groove in the ceiling plate (1) D1 + 5 mm, using the end-piece of the Inter as a template. Install the Inter (2) in the ceiling plate (1) by using 3 self-drilling screws inside the Inter to attach the mounting frame for the valve (3). Then fit the valve in the mounting frame. Finally, install the assembled ceiling plate in a modular ceiling system. Use of connection nipple (4) or bend between Inter and Spiro duct (5) is recommended. 6 LØV-A LØV-A is a circular exhaust valve for ceiling mounting. It is suitable for installation in fixed ceilings. LØV-A features a removable front panel with perforation. Both the valve front and the ceiling plate are in a steel design. The valve body is in aluminium and is fitted with an EPDM rubber gasket at the connection collar. All internal and external valve elements are in a RAL gloss 30 finish. Other colours are available on request. 7 LØV-A with Luna plenum box The Luna plenum box is recommended for improved sound attenuation, and works as an adjustment and measurement unit. Luna is a rectangular box with a removable damper providing access to the connecting duct. The damper can be secured in any position required. Luna plenum box features a damper and measuring outlet for commissioning. The box is lined with sound absorber in polyester, and is available in the same dimension or one scale up between inlet and outlet (see table 4). Can be supplied with external condensation insulation. A low-profile version [UI] is also available, and for this design a reduction in capacity of approx. 20% will apply. The distance between valve and box can be increased by up to 35 cm without extending the wire and measuring tube. Luna is supplied in a galvanised finish, and with all four internal walls lined with sound absorber in polyester. The connection collar is fitted with EPDM rubber gasket. 10 ESNU ESNU is a circular mesh grille, and can be used as both a supply and extract air unit. ESNU is available in two different designs - with or without decorative flange. ESNU is made of galvanised steel, and units with decorative flange come in a RAL gloss 30 finish as standard. Both designs are fitted with rubber gasket. ESNU without flange is available in dim. 11 UPK (BxH) APPLIcATION UPK is an air-extract grille for wall mounting. It is available in bespoke dimensions and can thus be adapted to fit various groove dimensions or pre-installed boxes. The UPK features square perforation. It is available with pre-drilled holes and enamelled screws. Grilles exceeding 2 m² are split.e. INSTALLATION Installation principle is shown in fig. 2. MATERIALS AND SURFAcE coating The grill is made in steel, and comes in a RAL 9010 finish. It is fitted with polyurethane moulding. Other materials and colours are available on request. QUIcK SELEcTION In terms of projected WxH for the UPK, duct velocity should not exceed 3 m/s. This is to avoid any noise issues. 12 UPK grille UPK-R is a rectangular extract-air grille for integrated wall or ceiling installation. UPK-H is suitable for T-profile ceiling systems, 600 x 600. The UPK-R grille features square perforation and a fitted frame for ATK box mounting. UPK-R panel and frame are made of steel, and are delivered in a RAL gloss 30 finish. 13 UPK grille with ATK box The ATK plenum box is used for improved sound attenuation and commissioning options. This rectangular box is fitted with a removable damper which provides access to the connecting duct. The ATK box features a damper for commissioning. ATK-B, S and LS are equipped with measuring point. The box is insulated with sound absorber in polyester. The ATK box is made in galvanised steel, and is lined with sound absorber in polyester inside. Its connection collar is fitted with an EPDM rubber gasket. 16 Orion-ATV-T Orion-ATV is a square extract air terminal device for installation in modular ceiling systems. Orion-ATV features a removable front panel with square perforation as standard. Circular pattern can be provided on request. The unit is supplied with top-entry spigot as standard, but is also available with side-entry spigot. Furthermore, the unit is equipped with a TA flange suitable for T-profile ceiling systems, but is also available with alternative flange designs, type: DC, DG, DS and EK (see fig. 3 and under order code). 19 RIA-SA RIA-SA is an extract-air louvre ideal for high air flow rates. RIA-SA is made from extruded aluminium profiles. DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT, RIA-SA Weight: approx. 15 kg/m². Minimum dimension: 200 x 200 Maximum dimension, not split: 2000 x RIA-SA is made from extruded, seawater resistant aluminium profiles (EN- AW-6060-T66 / EN-AW-6063-T6), and comes in an RAL gloss 30 finish as standard. The unit can also be delivered in anodized brown, black or natural. Alternative materials or enamel finish are available on request. 20 RIA RIA is an intake and exhaust louvre for external installation. B-4 85 RIA-1 is made from extruded aluminium profiles, and is equipped with animal-proof netting. The RIA-2 design is identical to RIA-1, but without a flange. RIA-3 is made of aluminium, and has insulated blades and animal-proof netting. Wall-mounting frame with anchor is available for RIA-1. H-4 RIA-1 and RIA-2 are made from extruded profiles in seawater resistant aluminium (EN-AW-6060-T66 / EN-AW-6063-T6). Delivered untreated as standard. Can also be delivered in anodized brown, black or natural. The louvres can also be supplied in painted finish. Other materials available on request. RIA-3 is made of seawater resistant aluminium (EN-AW-5052-H34), and is insulated with mineral wool with a glass fibre layer. Painted finish or alternative material available on request. The diffusers offer an adjustable flow pattern and are ideal for both under- and overheated air. Duct velocity ahead of the first diffuser should not exceed 5 m/s. 36 Orion-PTV with Sirius Comfort Orion-PTV with Sirius Comfort is a diffusor unit with VAV and heating functions. It is used as a volume regulator and diffusor unit in demand controlled ventilation systems. Sirius Comfort has unique characteristics and Orion-PTV has a large capacity, good induction and is wellsuited for the inlet of large airflows. FUNCTION Sirius Comfort has a built-in VAV regulator for demand control of airflows. The damper solution will choke the pressure at high flow rates and will maintain a low sound level. This may reduce the need for additional dampers and sound attenuators in a duct system.the unit is equipped with a heating coil for waterborne heating of inlet air. 53 TIR TIR is the ideal solution when high air flow rates are required, and is primarily intended as a freely suspended unit. It can, as an example, be used to supply hot or cold air to the occupied zone in rooms with high ceilings. TIR comes with a perforated face-plate and with fixed slot-height to the diffuser cover which is also the absorption mat. Fitted underneath the face-plate is a string-operated sector shutter where the air flow rate, and thus also the supporting air jet and throw length, are regulated. 54 DKW DKW is a perforated duct diffuser for freely suspended or embedded installation. The system can be adjusted to the length required by combining active parts and blanked-off ducts. With its choice of flow patterns, the DKW can be used for both under- and overheated air and is a high installation-friendly solution. FLOW PATTERNS To accommodate for room geometry and positioning, the following flow patterns are available. 63 JBV These air diffusers are designed for comfort ventilation in all types of homes where balanced ventilation is installed, e.g. new builds or rehabilitated blocks of flats. They are designed for standard wall thicknesses with steel joists and a single sheet of plasterboard on both sides. 65 Orion-LØV with Sirius Orion-LØV with Sirius is a diffuser unit with VAV function, and is used as volume flow controller and diffuser in ventilation systems to enable air flow rates to be set as per requirements. Orion-LØV offers excellent induction, and is ideal for variable air flow rates. FUNCTION Orion-LØV with Sirius has a built-in VAV controller for adjustment of air flow rates according to requirements. The damper solution will choke the pressure at high flow rates and will maintain a low sound level. This may reduce the need for additional dampers and sound attenuators in a duct system. 85 Iris Iris is an air-flow regulation and measuring damper compliant with the air tightness requirements of EN 1751, Class C. Iris comprises an adjustable diaphragm which can be controlled with an adjusting nut or the enclosed handle, adjustment scale and air flow rate measuring nipples. Iris is made of hot-dip galvanised steel. Measuring nipples and adjustment devices are in plastic. The damper is fitted with a rubber gasket. 86 Leo Leo is a volume flow controller which works independently of the duct pressure. It is the desired air flow rate at choked damper that determines the duct pressure required for the applicable unit/string. The VAV unit is based on dynamic measurement of volume flows, and controls the damper position to maintain the air flow rate required. When a change in duct pressure occurs, such as when other volume flow controllers on the branch open or close, the unit will compensate by adjusting the damper until the correct volume flow has been restored. The required air flow rate can, for example, be provided as a 0-10V signal from room thermostat / CO² sensor in the occupied zone covered by the unit. Minimum and maximum air flow rates can be set at the factory or during installation by using a service tool from Belimo. The VAV unit is designed to provide comfort ventilation at temperature conditions of between 0 C and 50 C and a relative humidity between 5% and 95% without condensation. A 4-conductor cable connects the controller to various control equipment in the room. Consistent use of a common reference system for all equipment is important. For the VAV controller, cable no. 1 is system-0. All control and measurement signals are linked up in accordance with this. Wiring diagram for Leo in combination with various room control equipment is available at our website. For energy-efficient operation, VAV systems are equipped with pressure sensors in the ductwork, which transmit control signals to branch dampers or to the fan frequency control. Please see schematic diagram in fig.1. 87 Leo Leo VAV is a complete measuring and control unit where the air flow rates in ventilation systems can be set as required. At the measuring station, the differential pressure is measured via measuring rod integrated in the unit. The unit is installation-friendly in terms of straight ducting, and can thus be mounted in most ductwork sections. It is fully compliant with air permeability class 4 for damper in closed position, and class C for leakage to the surroundings. Leo is equipped with VAV controller from Belimo or Siemens. Controller specifications are provided in the table below. Full technical documentation can be downloaded from our website Belimo LMV/NMV-D3 is used as analog control or for MP-bus. Belimo LON or MOD-bus controller is also available. For KNX, Belimo LMV-D3-KNX and NMV-D3-KNX is available. If additional protection against structure-borne noise is required, e.g. for open installation, the unit can be delivered with external insulation and casing. This will reduce the level of noise emitted from the actual unit at high choke pressure and high velocity past the damper. However, this should be followed up with additional protection against structure-borne noise from the duct at both sides of the unit. Please see acoustic datasection. The LEV sound attenuator is designed for VAV systems, and is available in 500mm and 1000mm lengths. LEV has a full attenuator cross-section, and this ensures a low-level pressure loss. It is insulated with mineral wool featuring a reinforced top layer to prevent fibres breaking away with the supply air. An extraction unit with mesh grille, ASN, in the same design as LEV is also available. Leo-D, LEV and ASN can be delivered pre-assembled with ducting clips and are equipped with adjustable brackets from factory. Leo Leo comes in a galvanized steel design. 96 Svalbard-H Svalbard-H is a hydronic cooling, heating and ventilation system for use in offices, shops, schools etc. The system is designed to provide excellent cooling effect, and a high induction level ensures a draft-free environment in the occupied zone. Svalbard-H is made for corner installation, i.e. between wall and ceiling. FUNCTION Air is supplied via nozzles, and indoor air is extracted and fed through the coil. Effective mixing of indoor air and supply air, i.e. induction, minimises the risk of draft in the occupied zone. When Svalbard is utilised for heating, the same technique is used for dispersion of heat along the ceiling. The indoor air is extracted through the perforated area on the unit s front-panel in order to avoid dirt accumulation on the ceiling. Nozzle configuration for the chilled beam, i.e. desired air supply and pressure, is specified at time of order. Svalbard-H comes with integrated air flow rate measuring point. The front panel can be folded down for inspection and cleaning. Svalbard-H is available in installation lengths of 1200, 1800, 2400 and 3000 mm. 98 Svalbard-I Svalbard-I is a hydronic cooling, heating and ventilation system for use in offices, shops, schools etc. The system is designed to provide a draft-free cooling effect in the occupied zone. Svalbard-I is suitable for integration in a ceiling grid with 600mm modules. FUNCTION Air is supplied via nozzles, and indoor air is extracted and fed through the coil. Effective mixing of indoor air and supply air, i.e. induction, minimises the risk of draft in the occupied zone. When Svalbard-I is used for heating, the same technique is used for dispersion of heat along the ceiling. The indoor air is extracted through the perforated area on the unit s front panel in order to avoid dirt accumulation on the ceiling. Nozzle configuration for the chilled beam, i.e. desired air supply and pressure, is specified at time of order. Svalbard-I is delivered with integrated pressure outlet for air flow rate measurements. The front panel can be folded down for inspection and cleaning. Dispersion options: symmetrical 50/50 or asymmetrical 75/25 (25/75) can be adjusted on site. Connection to air: Svalbard-I, 175mm height, is equipped with a Ø125 spiro connection at gable end (spigot dimension). Fig. 1 and 2. Svalbard-I, 235mm height, is available with Ø125 side spigot. 101 Svalbard-F Svalbard-F is a hydronic cooling, heating and ventilation system for use in offices, shops, schools etc. The system is designed to provide excellent cooling effect, and a high induction level ensures a draft-free environment in the occupied zone. Svalbard-F is designed for open installation in ceiling or covering. FUNCTION Air is supplied via adjustable nozzles which ensure that the air is dispersed along the ceiling in a fan-shaped flow pattern. This technique optimises the dispersion effect by providing a larger area for the supply air and indoor air to mix. Such effective mixing of indoor air and supply air, i.e. induction, minimises the risk of draft in the occupied zone. Svalbard systems which are used for heating only utilises the same technique for effective dispersion of heat along the ceiling. 105 VIP-X is a complete system for managing and monitoring of VAV systems. It contains a web server with ready web images for configuration of the system. VIP-X can control up to 32 dampers and acquire signals from up to 32 sensors. Up to five VIP-X units may be connected via a switch, so that the total number of dampers and sensors reaches 160. Using damper angle monitoring to set up function for optimum fan operation. VIP-X can communicate via Modbus/TCP, BACnet/IP or KNXnet/IP and can be provided for 16 or 32 dampers. Modbus/TCP will always be implemented, regardless of whether one chooses VIP-X for BACnet/IP or KNXnet/IP. 106 EasyLink EasyLink EasyLink is a complete control system for energy proper management and control of indoor climate in a building. The system can regulate both VAV, heating, cooling, CO2, motion and light at room level. FUNCTION EasyLink system can control up to 240 room controllers with their corresponding temperature sensors in the same system. If higher plant, an EasyLink system expanded by multiple systems connected in series. The system has damperblade control connectable mode for optimal fan operation.
