10 Enlosure and Cooling Totally Enlosed Fan Cooling System Classifiations: IC, IP55 SA 2MD TMEIC motors equipped with totally enlosed fan ooling systems are designed to omply with IC and IP55 lassifiations. The fan is mounted on the rotor and enlosed in the ase so that the ooling-air flow is direted over the surfae of the motor. Enlosure with IP55 lassifiation are designed to prevent dust infiltration, thereby prohibiting partiulates from reahing the motor and ensuring smooth, ontinuous operation. They are also designed so that water sprayed onto the frame from any diretion is prevented from permeating and ausing any harmful effet. Appliable frame sizes: SA-2MD, 2L, 5H-60. The ventilation passages in these motors are proteted so that rain, snow and air-borne partiles annot permeate eletrial omponents. Both the intake and exhaust ventilation passages are designed with at least three -degree elbows in the diretion of airflow, and the airflow speed in the lowveloity area in the intake-air path does not exeed 600ft/min.
