The ipeller ❻ trotates in the firing chaber ❷, which always reains filled with liquid. This creates the depression required for the suction of air contained in the suction line. la ixture of air and liquid is created and transferred to the separation chaber ❿ where the air is separated fro the liquid which falls into the firing chaber due to the force of gravity ❷. ❺ ❻ ❼ Peranently lubricated bearings ❽ Shaft ❾ Mechanical seal ❿ Air separation chaber ⓫ Delivery port ❼ Once the suction line is copletely filled with liquid, the pup behaves in the sae way as a standard centrifugal pup. The upper position of the suction support and the action of the nonreturn valve ❶ allow for liquid to be aintained in the pup at all ties. Even after long stoppage periods, the pup ay start a new firing cycle without needing to be refilled.

Advantages: Pup protected in the long ter against attacks fro cheically aggressive fluids. Abrasion resistance superior to that of cast iron. Adherence three ties greater than that of traditional epoxy coatings. The strong cohesion of the coating prevents the propagation of rust due to blistering. Reloading possible during aintenance operations. This option prevents the obstruction of the ipeller when fibrous atter is present in the puped liquid. 5 MECHANICAL SEAL Autoatic greasing cartridge Provides lubrication for the echanical seal and reduces heating during the firing phases. Operation: once the cartridge has been activated, an electronic syste regulates a constant flow of grease for the selected duration. EPDM is not copatible with the cartridge grease. Therefore, this option cannot be selected with iperviousness J (EPDM). ASSEMBLY WITH THERMAL MOTOR External lubrication (flushing) Lubrication is provided by the circulation of an external fluid. This construction allows for the peranent washing of the echanical seal when puping blocking, crystallising fluids... The flushing is not available with all odels (contact us). Perforance curves When the pup is coupled with a theral otor, its hydraulics are adapted to the rotation speed of the otor. The operating curves are traced for different rotation speeds (upon request). Starter Two options are available: - Manual launcher - Electric starter: the otor-pup unit is fitted in this case with a battery. Tank Two possibilities are offered: - Tank integrated in the otor - Tank integrated in the frae; the capacity is greater in this case and varies depending on the odel. It is attached directly to the body of the pup and continuously indicates the teperature of the transitted fluid. Operation: The zinc anode is ainly attacked by corrosion and therefore protects cast iron against aggression fro seawater. The anode has to be replaced after a certain tie, depending ainly on the salt concentration and teperature of the seawater. Advantage: This option allows for the use of a cast iron pup in seawater application. The cost price is therefore lower than that of an equivalent stainless steel or bronze pup. 6
