3 Introduction Hendrix-Kerite Power Hendrix-Kerite Power supplies medium-voltage, primary cable to the electric utility market. The Power business unit markets through two highly respected industryrecognized brands. Hendrix Wire & manufactures TRXLPE-insulated, medium voltage cables, rated 15kV to 35kV in the Milford, NH location. The Kerite Company manufactures specialized, EPR insulated, medium voltage cables, rated 5kV to 35kV and PILC replacement cable in the Seymour, CT location. Hendrix-Kerite Power is part Marmon Utility LLC. Marmon Utility LLC is comprised six separate business units that serve the electric utility, contractor and petroleum markets: Hendrix-Kerite Power Hendrix Aerial Systems Hendrix Molded Products Kerite Services Kerite High Voltage and Specialty Kerite Pump Marmon Utility LLC is part the Marmon Engineered Wire & Division. This division is just one many business segments The Marmon Group. The Marmon Group is an international association manufacturing and service companies that operate independently. It is made up 11 diverse stand-alone business sectors. These business sectors operate approximately 300 manufacturing, distribution and service facilities. Hendrix Wire & has manufactured electrical cable products for the utility industry since The first products produced by Hendrix were patented overhead spacers and polymer insulators. Since 1967, Hendrix has manufactured medium-voltage, underground cable. Hendrix is a leader in promoting electrical test requirements in the industry and in other quality advancements such as clean room technology. It has built a reputation for high quality cable, short, consistent leadtimes and responsive customer service. Hendrix underground cable is produced in a 250,000 sq. feet plant located in Milford, NH. Hendrix is vertically integrated to fabricate bare aluminum and copper conductor used in the manufacture utility cables. True-triple, gas-cure, primary extrusion lines are fully supported by neutral and jacket machines. Electrical and physical test facilities perform all standard industry tests. In addition, an analysis lab handles qualification testing, compound development, and failure analysis for customers. The Kerite Company manufactures aluminum and copper conductor cables with EPR insulation. It has manufactured underground distribution cables since 1926 and subsea cable since the late 1800s. Like Hendrix, Kerite produces cables for the electric utility market. The underground products range from 5kV through 138kV. Kerite utilizes a proprietary cable design for its utility cable. The basic design is a unique discharge-resistant insulation system that is field proven and has the longest warranty in the industry. Both Hendrix and Kerite market cable through a national network manufacturers representatives. 2 3
