2 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Make sure that the towbar is suitable for the vehicle before starting the installation For safety, all work involving towbar installation (incl. electrical components) must be undertaken by skilled technicians. Damaged components must be replaced with manufacturer s spares and fitted by qualified staff It is forbidden to make any modification or structural repair to towing assembly The tow-ball must be kept clean and lubricated. For added safety, his diameter (50 mm) must be checked at regular intervals. 3 FITTING INSTRUCTIONS FORD FOCUS 2 HATCHBACK ( ) FORD FOCUS 3 2 HATCHBACK 2011 FORD C-MAX FORD GRAND C-MAX Remove any mastic from contact points and paint with anti rust paint. 1. Just for Focus > Hatchback: remove the lights and the casing under the flatcar 2. Remove the bumper and discard the bumper beam. 3. Insert side arms A inside the chassis rails and fit referring to screws Just for C-Max '10 and Grand C-Max '10: if present remove the antenna of the parking sensors which is on the central wall of the body shell and locate it behind the same support drilling out two new holes dimensions Locate cross bar B referring to holes 2 and 3 and tighten. 6. Caution: Just for Focus > Hatchback, locate item B on the rearward holes as showed. 7. Tighten all bolts and nuts as per torque settings 8. Connect the wirings to the socket 9. Just for Focus C-Max '03-'10 and Focus 2 3&5 doors: cut the bumper as showed (little cut) 10.Just for Focus > Hatchback: cut bumper and casing as showed in attachment Connect the socket support to its support based on the type of vehicle in which the tow bar is mounted (see sketch) 12.
