3 IN ORDERING PARTS This- list has been arranged to simplify ordering repair-- parts for class 40 machines. Various sections of the mechanisms are shown on each page. On the page opposite the illustration will be found a listing of the parts with their reference numbers, part numbers, names, and the number of pieces required. A part, whose number is marked with an asterisk, e.g., *208274, Page 2, is not recommended for the individual replacement, so complete assembly or sub assembly should be ordered. In the illustration section, the specific parts, which are specifically used in a certain machine model, are shown in the square enclosed, and outside the square are shown the common parts. which are used in common for all class 40 machines. In addition, a symbol number 8 8 or 8 is used to make the specific parts clear; marked after the machine model number shown in the square in the illustration section, and also marked before some part numbers in the parts list section. So, the details of the component parts of a certain machine model may be obtained by putting the parts data of the common parts and the specific parts together. At the back of this list will be found a numerical index of all the parts shown in this list. This will facilitate locating the illustration and description when only the part number is known.
