16 Biographies Michael Simpson Jack Russell 102BC Length 55mm Westie 105BC Height 49mm Labrador 101BC Height 46mm Michael is an unusual sculptor in that his body of work spans a variety of different subjects. He enjoys working on several sculpts at the same time moving from one to the next as inspiration dictates. Michael has a unique ability to design extremely accurately and yet with a loose contemporary feel making his style easily recognised and much appreciated by collectors. Keith Sherwin Keith was born in Stoke on Trent, the home of the Potteries and trained as a ceramic artist with Royal Doulton at the Burslem Factory. As a self-taught Sculptor working in clay he has produced a variety of subjects such as dogs, cats, wildlife and human form. Keith s work is admired and collected world wide. He went on to study at Leek College of Art and then Maidstone Art College in Kent. He has worked for many well-respected companies such as Wedgwood, Country Artists, Border Fine Arts and Royal Mint to name a few. He now lives in Letters, near Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands where he concentrates on drawing and sculpting the wildlife of the area. He is fascinated by the wild spirit of animals and finds that working in clay allows him to capture these moments, working quickly and spontaneously as nature dictates. Grant Palmer Grant studied Sculpture & Ceramic Design at North Staffordshire University, and began his career in the Design & Modelling studio at Royal Doulton s Burslem Factory. Later becoming freelance opened exciting and varied opportunities to develop his unique impressionistic style. Grant seeks to create sculptures which, whilst accurate have a personality and character of their own. They selected initially 3 designs which I made in nickel plated resin to match the existing models in their collection. Having loved horses all my life it is a pleasure to see the designs featured in the 2017 catalogue from this well respected company. 29
