This distribution type is generally utilized where the luminaire is in the center and light is required for narrow pathways. Type 4 distribution, commonly known as Forward Throw, provides semicircular distribution and is best utilized along perimeters where spill light is a concern. Type II Type distribution provides similar distribution as Type, however, it is wider in the front. Great for lighting larger areas and where the luminaire is near the roadside. Type III Type 3 distribution, commonly known as Bat-Wing, is best utilized where the luminaire is placed to the side allowing light to project forward to cover a large area. Great for general parking areas.
