A and F type platform was manufactured and supplied by Tractel Ltd., Swingstage Division. This machine replaced an older, out of commission, Building Maintenance Unit. The unit easily runs along the buildings original rail-type track, which is of a wider gauge than typical Tractel WF track spacing. The platform length accommodates the original mullion stabilization guides. The platform also incorporates a special fold-down front guard to stop material falling through a space caused by the shape of this particular buildings façade. Description of the application: The Renaissance Tower required a new control device for the building window washing system. The current operating system for the roof car was not functioning correctly. Since the Magtron uses standard suspension wire ropes to send digital signals to the roof level hoisting equipment. The system ensures there will be no interference problems from or to other systems. Two-way voice communications is also available to the roof level and/or to the security office for emergency calls. The Magtron is ideal for new roof mounted window-washing rigs and for retrofitting older equipment.
