It appears that other units, like the March Battalion Nagel and Zorn detached men to Schemm's unit as it got stronger as the campaign went on.

On September 24, the 105th Panzer Brigade listed s as operational and another 11 in maintenance for repairs; a further 74 are listed as lost. Given the lack of use of these halftracks in the campaign, it can be assumed that they were not used due to the lack of fuel available for operations. I have only included those 251s which were probably crucial to operations and within the range noted by other sources as available to the brigade. About 450 men were still present with the infantry battalion. 4 Had been part of the 353rd Infantry Division, but was attached to 9thPanzer Division on the morning of September 13. Commander was Oberst Feind.

18 12th Engineer Battalion IV/12th Artillery Battalion September 19 Morning: elements/march Battalion 554 September 20 Morning: 3 march companies Stolberg Campaign Notes: 1. Transport for the 12th Infantry Division: The 12th Infantry Division was transported to the front via trucks from the corps' troops. To represent this, during the first turn the following reinforcements arrive, they are get to move as motorized units: 27th Fusilier Regiment, 48th Grenadier Regiment, 89th Grenadier Regiment, 12th Fusilier Battalion, and 12th Engineer Battalion. The supply wagons and limbers for these units will move up at the normal nonmotorized rate as reinforcements. 2. LXXXI Corps Transport: The LXXXI (81st) Armee Korps seemed to have some trucks available to it to transport non-motorized units. This small truck company represents a 60 ton truck column, which is what the corps seems to have had. This unit must be kept together, but it can be used to transport non-motorized units in the corps, like the stationary 88mm antitank units or other non-motorized units. 3. LXXXI Corps The corps headquarters for the LXXXI Armee Korps remained off of the campaign map, so it is not represented as a unit, but the senior player on the German side should assume the role of the corps commander. 4. Organizational Notes: Basically the 12th Infantry Division was organized as a 44 type infantry division and was essentially full strength. The only units were either remnants of heavily depleted units, like the 9th Panzer Division and the 105th Panzer Brigade, or second or even third line troops rushed to the front. None of these units seemed to follow any standard organization. I have done my best to sort out what these units had. A good place to start was the foreign military studies by the American Army; these can be found on the Strumpanzer webpage at: I was able to find other bits of information at the Lexicon der Wehrmacht web page: and the Axis History Forum: Finally a lot of bits and pieces of information came from just good old googling every possible key word I could think of. Your information may vary, but I don't think that outside of German archives, there is exact information about what these units had. 5. Staff Telephone Stands: The 9th Panzer Division and 353rd Infantry Division have staff telephone stands instead of staff radio stands due to a critical lack of radios in the division and regiment staffs. In several instances, the 9th Panzer Division relied on the civilian telephone system to transmit orders to subordinate units.
