The graph and chart page show the dynamic effort developed by a cylinder at the piston rod, at various supply pressures. EXAMPLE: calculate a cylinder to lift a load of 130 dan with a pressure of 7 bar (gauge pressure). Theoretical dynamic effort = actual load load factor The graph below shows the cross over point between the dynamic effort and the supply pressure. The cylinder diameter required will be that where the curve passes this point or the cylinder giving a force immediately above that required. In the example above: 175 dan is between 50 and 3. The cylinder recommended is the 3 mm wich will develop a force of 0 dan at 7 bar and the actual load factor is : 130 dan x 0 = 5 % 0 dan = 130 = 175 dan 0,75 LOAD FACTOR This is the relationship expressed as a percentage between the actual load being moved by the cylinder and the dynamic effort available at the end of the piston rod. Actual load Load factor (in %) = Dynamic effort x 0 For an optimum installation of a cylinder, we recommend a cylinder with a load factor inferior to or equal to 75%. 7 ISO STANDARDIZATION OF DIMENSIONS AND INTERCHANGEABILITY STANDARDS OF CYLINDERS 32 to 3 mm INTERCHANGEABILITY within the standard between ISO cylinders (year: 0) This new international standard cancels and replaces ISO 31. It defi nes the outer dimensions of a bare cylinder and equipped with its mountings. B 00319GB-11/R01 NUMATICS cylinder, type PES, complies with the international AFNOR NF ISO (june 0) - DIN ISO These fully include the international standard ISO L'AFNOR NF ISO is completed with a defi nition of the rod diameters MM and cancels and replaces standard NFE 9003 parts 1 to 3. ISO 31 cylinders (year: 1983) This international standard defi ned a cylinder unit equipped with its mountings without specifying the bare cylinder alone.
