Th ndls msh th wool fibrs togthr, crating a firm and durabl form. This craft is surprisingly simpl and fun! Ths picturs ar for rfrnc only. 2 Camp fir matrials: gry wool (rocks) 15g, brown wool (logs) 4g, Ochr wool (logs) 2g., orang wool (fir) 1g, yllow wool (fir) 1g, spong (flting surfac), flting ndls (mdium gaug). po k Camp Fir 1. Rocks: ti a strip of gry wool into a tight knot. Fold ovr th xtra wool 2. Flt ( rpatdly with th flting ndl). Flt till firm and smooth. 3. Roll th shap btwn your palms to smooth it. 4. Flt 8 or 9 rocks of varying sizs. 5. Lay gry wool in a circl about 4.5 in diamtr. Flt on both sids till firm. 6. Arrang rocks around th bottom of th fir pit. Flt th rocks onto th circl around th bas of th rocks or glu rocks onto th circl. 7. Fir: Pull off two pinchs of yllow wool and two pinchs of orang wool. 8. Stack th flams: yllow-orang-ylloworang and flt togthr at th bottom of th fir.

3 2 Fishing Pol & fish matrials: whit wool 1g., brown wool (handl) 1g., grn wool (fish) 2g., 1 pip clanr, 2 tiny googly ys, light gry mbroidry thrad spong (flting surfac), flting ndls (mdium gaug). 9. Logs: Tightly roll four strips of brown wool 10. Flt ( rpatdly with th flting ndl). Flt till firm and smooth. 11. Flt th nds of th logs with yllow ochr wool. Fishing pol and Fish 1. Cut th pip clanr 5.5 long and put a small amount of glu on it. Wrap th mbroidry thrad along th pip clanr. Start wrapping.25 from th nd. 2. Wrap a strip of brown wool on th nd of th pip clanr to mak th fishing pol handl. 3. Carfully flt th handl on both sids of th pip clanr. 4. Lav a thrad tail at th nd of th fishing pol and roll btwn your palms to smooth it. 5. Fish: Roll a small pic of grn wool in an oval to start th fish.

4 3 Tr stump matrials: Tr stump: brown wool 5g., ochr wool 1g. spong (flting surfac), flting ndls (mdium gaug). 6. Flt th wool into an oval shap till firm. Lav th top and nd of th fish unfltd. 7. Pull th wool up at th top and at th nd of th fish to mak fins. Add a littl xtra wool to th fins and flt till smooth. Rub btwn your fingrs to smooth th fins. 8. Whn shaping th fish, b sur to flt th tail narrowr than th body. Add whit wool to th blly of th fish. 9. Push th nd of th mbroidry thrad into th mouth of th fish to attach it to th fishing lin. Glu googly ys to th fish. Tr Stump 1. Tightly roll brown wool for th tr stump. Th stump should b about 1.5 tall x 4 dia. Lav th bottom of th stump slightly unfltd. 3. Flt th top of th tr stump with yllow ochr wool. 4. Roll a thin strip of brown wool btwn your fingrs to mak a thrad lik pic. 2. Flt till firm. Roll btwn your palms to smooth it.

5 4 Owl matrials: 2 yllow googly ys, brown wool 1g., yllow wool 1g., whit wool: 1g., gry wool: 4g., spong (flting surfac), flting ndls (mdium gaug). 5. Flt th thrad-lik strip of brown into a swirl onto th top of th tr stump. 6. Pull th bottom of th stump outwards in thr aras. Flt ths protrusions till firm. Grat Hornd Owl horns wings tail 1. Form two balls (4 in dia. ach) th sam siz; start th balls by first tying th wool into a knot (s stp 1, 2 and 3 in Campfir rocks). Flt th two balls togthr. 2. Plac a small amount of wool ovr th sam whr th two balls mt. Flt ovr th sam to mak th two balls samlss. 3. Plac small amounts of wool into a triangl for a tail, two ovals for wings and two pointd ovals for th horns. Flt shaps on both sids; rub btwn your fingrs to smooth. 4. Bak: Roll a small amount of yllow wool into a tub (.25 long). Lav on nd unfltd. Flt till firm. 5. Eys: Flat flt two small whit wool circls for th bas of th owl ys. Th circls should b about.5 in diamtr ach. 6. Flt th ys, bak, wings, horns and tail onto th owl. Flt brown wool onto th had and blly. Glu th googly ys into th cntr of th whit circls.

6 5 Fox matrials: orang wool 10g., black wool 2g., whit wool 2g., 2 pip clanrs, spong (flting surfac), flting ndls (mdium gaug). 7. Flt th tail onto th back of th owl. Flt xtra wool ovr th tail sam if nccssary. Fox 1. Body: Roll orang wool into an oval. Flt till firm and smooth. 2. Ears: Lay orang wool into small triangls. Flt on both sids, rub th ars btwn your fingrs to smooth. 3. Had: Form a ball for th had (s stps 1, 2 and 3 of Campfir rocks). 4. Snout: Roll orang wool into a tub for th snout. Flt on nd roundd and lav th othr nd unfltd. 5. Flt th snout to th had. Flt a small amount of wool around th bas of th snout to covr th sam. 6. Flt th nd of th snout whit. 7. Tail: Roll orang wool into a long, thin oval. Flt on nd whit and pointd and lav th othr nd unfltd. Flt th tail till firm and smooth.

7 6 Tr matrials: Grn wool 12g. spong (flting surfac), flting ndls (mdium gaug). fold to mak foot nck 8. To form a nck, roll wool into a tub; lav both nds unfltd. Attach ars to had, had to nck, nck to body and tail to body. Flt whit onto th chst. 1.5 slit slit 9. Wrap/flt orang wool around th nck to covr th sam at th had and th body. 10. Lgs: Cut four pics of pip clanr, ach 2 long. Wrap with orang wool, wrap bottom with black wool. Flt wool on both sids of th pip clanr. Roll to smooth. 1.5 of lg xtnds outsid th body 11. Cut slits in th body, insrt th lgs. Add a triangular wool shap at th cornr of th rar lgs. Wrap wool around ach lg to blnd thm into th body. Flt black ys and a nos. Tr 1. Layrs: Plac grn wool into a circl; flt till firm. Rub btwn your palms to smooth th circl. Mak four circls in thr diffrnt sizs to mak layrs of th tr. 2. Cut a sction out of th circl. 3. Fold th circl in half and flt closd. Flt wool ovr th sam. 4. Stack th four layrs of cons to crat a tr.

8 Flat Flting rsults in a pic of flat, fabric-lik wool (you could us this tchniqu to mak a bag, larg pics of wool or to mak doll cloths). Lay at last two layrs of wool onto th spong flting surfac, ach layr in th opposit dirction. Us a flting handl with at last 4 ndls, flt th layrs flat, turn th layrs ovr oftn so thy don t flt to th spong. Flt a thin layr of wool ovr any hols. You can also flat flt artwork that looks lik a painting. 7 layr 1 wool for tnt spong 1 spong 2 layr 2 Tnt 1. Plac both spongs togthr to mak th work surfac for th tnt. 2. Lay wool on th spong(s) flting surfac to flt th top of th tnt (approx. 4 wid x 8 long). Lay on layr vrtically, lay th scond layr horizontally. 4. Fold th tnt in half and flt a cras down th cntr. 5. Flt yllow ochr on th bottom nds of th tnt. unfltd unfltd 3. Flat flt till firm on both sids. (S back pag for flat flting instructions). Flat flt a sparat bottom pic approximatly 4 x 4. Lav th short nds unfltd. Not: If you want your tnt to b largr you can pick up th fltd wool, mov it ovr and add lngth or width to th tnt. top of tnt Connct tnt top to tnt bottom along short nds. 6. Ovrlap th top of th tnt onto th dg of th tnt bottom. Flt th loos fibrs togthr at th short dgs to connct th two pics. 7. Th loos fibrs hlp to flt th nds togthr.

Som projcts may not includ fibr-fill, in this cas shap th wool into th bas shap of your projct. Smooth: Flting your pic with th ndl positiond at a 90 dgr angl to th pic will mak th pic hardr and smallr ovr tim. Flting your pic with th ndl positiond at a 45 dgr angl to th pic will not affct th siz of th pic but it will hlp to smooth th wool surfac. Also rubbing th fltd pic btwn your palms will hlp to smooth th fltd pic.. rgular ndl flting strok, 90 dgrs into th pic layr 1 layr 2 smoothing strok: 45 dgrs intot h surfac of th pic. roll to smooth smoothing with a ndl Flat Flting: Plac 2 or 3 thin layrs of wool on th spong, ach layr in th opposit dirction. Flt on both sids. Flt till firm. 4. Molds: In addition to making 3-D shaps and putting thm togthr, shaps can also b mad by using a mold (of stuffing), flting into a shap (an outlin or a cooki cuttr).
