6 GRADUATED DRIVERS LICENSING IF YOU START THE PROCESS AT AGE 14 AND 6 MONTHS UP TO 15 AND 6 MONTHS Must first complete a 30 hour Drivers Education Course. Can start coursework at 14 years 6 months. Apply for permit at driving school or at DMV at 15 or older. Must pass written test. Log 50 hours of drive time w/ parents. 10 hours at night. Hold permit for one year. 6 hours of behind the wheel lessons are mandatory if under 16 & 6 months when applying for license. Apply for license after 12 full months of driving with permit. Must pass drive test.
