1 MODERN TECHNOLOGY IN PUNCHING AND SHEARING SOLUTION The GEKA HYDRACROP range of hydraulic steelworkers have been designed by highly experienced engineers with the support of powerful CAD equipment, culminating in the most efficient and practical way of shearing, punching and bending pf flats and sections. Ideal There are 5 working stations actuated by two hydraulic cylinders (one positioned at each end of the main frame) prepared for producing different functions without tool changing, with simultaneous or independent operations. Economics GEKA production engineers have developed a most sotisficated manufacturing facility occupying an area of m 2 under one roof with a force of 80 personnel, achieving the best of quality by applying the latest advanced technology including robots, thus allowing our range of machines to be built with the most cost productive results. 3 Important points Punching The use of a separate, double-acting hydraulic cylinder for power at this station creates an independent work station with large die space for standard and special tooling. 1. Cylinder support. 2. Sectionalized cylinder (110 S). 3. Stroke adjusting stop. 4. Ample stroke for punching, bending, countersinking and forming. 5. Face of punch cylinder machined and guided to prevent misalignment of cylinder shaft under load. 6. Extra guide to better absorb offcenter loads and thus better protect hydraulic seals. 7. Cylinder prepared for shaped and special tooling. 8. Rapid tool-change. 9. Adjustable punch stripper 10. Gauging table with milimeter scales (included in productivity package ). 11. Positioning stop up to 500 mm. 12. Gooseneck die-holder for punching plates and sections, especially channels and beams in the flange. 13. Bolts for front-to-back alignment. 14. 4 angle cutting To succeed in cutting angle section without deformation, GEKA HYDRACROP machines are manufactured with a patented system whereby the upper blade follows a rectilinear movement throughout the stroke of the machine cutting angles from maximum to minimum capacity free of deformation and with no material loss (simple cut). With the use of our patented system and the radial movement of the arm a tonnage multiplication is achieved (110 tons in the case of the Hyd-55) making this a most efficient means of obtaining a clean smooth cut without deformation. 1. 5 cutting of flats High stability of the main monoblock blade-holder, controlled at both ends, allows for large capacity cutting of flats. The upper blade has been geometrically designed with consideration of having a radial force multiplying system resulting in cuts of the highest quality. 1. Lower blade (four cutting edges). 2. 6 Round and square and section shearing station The GEKA HYDRACROP machines are equipped in their standard version with blades for round and square cutting. This station has also been designed with an eye to the cutting of special sections such as Channels, Beams, Z, for which we have available an ample stock of blades. Blades can be changed quickly by removing and then replacing only 4 bolts. 1. Guide plate height positioning screw. 2. Blade retaining block. 3. Guide plate retaining stud.
