2 OVERVIEW. The new S 1000 XR. The adventure-sport bike that the streets have been waiting for. The S 1000 XR is as comfortable on longer journeys as it is on sporty rides down winding roads. It uses the same four-cylinder engine found in the S 1000 R and delivers a powerful 160 hp (118 kw). ABS, ASC and two riding modes (Rain and Road) all come as standard, while Touring and Dynamic packages are available as optional extras. And if that s not enough, choose from Ride modes pro with ABS Pro, two additional riding modes, Dynamic traction Control (DTC), and Gear shift assist pro, Dynamic-ESA electronic suspension adjustment and more.
